Dr. Good is one of the most pleasant, accomadating, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful in giving explanations, if needed. I thoroughly enjoy my visits with him, he is honest & tells you like it is, which I greatly appreciate.

I can not recommend Dr Good more highly! Combined, he has replaced a total of 5 joints on 3 of my family members. I wouldn’t want to have to go to any other orthopedic surgeon!

Dr Good replaced my left hip in Feb.,2020 & then my right hip in July, 2020. Both surgeries could not have been done any better. I Thank God for being able to have both hips repaired - I even was able to pick blueberries 3 days after the second hip surgery! Had it not been for both surgeries, I would be unable to have had a normal life. I am more than grateful a woman recommended Dr. Good after having had both of her hips replaced by Dr Good over a decade prior. She saw how I could barely wobble around & the pain I was in and told me there was no better surgeon to choose than Dr Good. I just happened to meet her in a Scranton bakery! I'm grateful I took her advice out of the blue! Coincidence Is really God's way of remaining anomyous! Many Thanks for returning my mobility & a normal life, now free from pain back to me. Dr. Good & all the nurses, & staff members & Rothman Institute are all A+++ professionals! Their kind calm and knowledgeable advice and care made not just one surgery, but both go just perfectly. I am in awe when I think of how smoothly both went! Thank you all so very much!!

Dr Good from the moment I met him up until he called after my surgery was calm, patient and very helpful in my decision process. Being recommended by three doctors he certainly lived up to the high standards that you look for in a Surgeon.

Dr. Good did my hip replacement surgery 10 months ago. It was the worst experience of my life! I was a healthy, 69 year old female who had no medical issues. My first follow up app’t was scheduled a full six weeks after the surgery. In the interim, I experienced excruciating pain - about 5 days following the hip replacement - that occurred primarily at night. The pain was located in my foot (same side as the hip replacement). It was the worst pain of my life. I made 4 calls to Dr. Good office and was essentially told the pain was normal. Dr. Good diagnosed me - six weeks later - with a condition called “foot drop.” He was extremely defensive, rude and unhelpful. The condition was devastating. I later had surgery performed - by a different doctor- to decompress the nerve damage caused by Dr. Good, who in subsequent visits was rude and dismissive. Because of his overall demeanor and dismissive attitude I stopped seeing Dr. Good completely. I would caution anyone against seeing him. My foot has improved following the second surgery but will never be 100% sadly.

Long term follow up: Dr. Good performed bilateral anterior cruciate ligament grafts on my knees 20 years ago. I just climbed the very steep Huyana Picchu mountain at the Machu Picchu ruins in Peru (elevation 9,000 feet.) More importantly, I made it back down! My knees have never felt better.

Dr. Good treated my knee pain with injections for a couple years, totally open to my decision to forestall surgery until my level of pain and range of motion dictated surgery from my point of view. My actual surgery-- double knee replacement--brought me to a range of motion that allows me to move my knees as I did before I had knee pain at all. I was very positively impressed by Dr. Good's concern for sanitation, especially during the surgery, to prevent infection. After the surgery, I followed the difficult regimen of exercise that Dr. Good's staff told me was necessary for maximum, enduring recovery. It is now 3 1/4 years since my surgery. My knees are functioning very well, and I feel no pain in them. Before surgery I could not even climb steps. Without the surgery, I would not have the active life nor the career I now enjoy. I am very thankful to Dr. Good and his excellent staff. I recommend him as an orthopaedic surgeon, without reservation.

I had Total Knee Replacement to right knee in Jan 2010. Today (2 years later), I find that the knee presents just about as much pain & limited range of motion as it did before the replacement. When confronted with this situation, I have found that the Dr. and his Tech Asst both have little guidance or concern. Basically their counsel to me is take (2) Alleve & rest it. I'm now to the point where I think I'll have to have it redone. Very disappointing, given that it's only 2 years out from original surgery. Bottom line: if I have to do another knee, Dr. Good is the LAST doctor I would consider. Rothman Institute is a far better bet for Orthopedic Surgery in the Phila area.
