We have not experienced any of the difficulties others have spoken about regarding the doctor or his staff. My family has been seeing him for 30 years. He is brilliant!!. His early detection techniques have resulted in my wife and I having very positive outcomes. He keeps up to date with treatments offered and drugs available , never over-medicating. He is well connected with top notch specialists and organizations that can effectively assist when problems are found. He will never rush you and thoroughly explains results. Highly recommended!

Started out as a very friendly Dr. was good with kids and willing to go the extra mile to help out. Nurse Norma is rude and don't return calls, can over hear Dr and Nurses talking down other patients through the thin walls in the place (makes you wonder what they say once I leave or call). Exam rooms are pretty dusty, Rita up at the front is rude and talks down to customers. Takes 24+ hours to get a refill approval or call returned, Feel little when I go there like I'm begging for care and made to feel like it's a privilege to be seen by the Dr. Looking for a new Doctor after refill was denied at 5PM and was told when I called the following day that the Dr. was off till monday. Wait times are sometimes good, most of the time 10-20 min in the main waiting room then another 10-30 min in the exam room. Dr. & staff seem preoccupied with playing with their new electronic records system instead of talking with patients

He has been my family's primary care doc for over 10 years. I refused to go to him when I got on my own insurance. My parents are old and set in their ways, but have finally gotten to the point at which they know they need a change. Dr. Boyd might have been a decent Dr years ago, but he is burned out and complacent now. His lack of diagnosis for my father's condition has been tough on all of us. "Old age" may be true, but had Dr Boyd taken the time to listen to us and to my father, my father's quality of life may have been vastly improved over the last few years. I mean no disrespect for the man, but I would not recommend him.

I would highly recommend Dr Boyd to any persons looking for a practitioner. The staff is very cordial on the phone as well as in person. My appointment was punctual, with no little wait time. Prior to my physical, Dr Boyd sat down & spoke with me, taking roughly 30 minutes which gave me ample time to address all questions & concerns. He was compassionate yet professional throughout the exam. He did not appear rushed, nor did he make me feel like "just a number". All lab work was done in office, which was convenient. He also provides full female care. Although I was directed elsewhere for a mammogram, that appointment in itself was offered to me same day. Again, please give Dr Boyd a try.I hope that the experience will be as pleasant as mine.

LIke most doctors these days, the concern seemed to be with how quickly they could get me out. My real complaint is with the staff. The ladies at the front desk are unfriendly. My guess is that they've grown so fast that they aren't concerned about customers service. (Yes, we aren't just patients - we are customers as well!) In any case, I went several times over the course of a few years and have stopped going. There are too many options for general medicine. Wait times are long and the staff is rude.

The DR is not so bad but he has a horrible staff. The steadfastly refused to refile a claim with insurance even after I got all together on a call and the insurance told them payment was no problem but they needed a claim. Always a horrible wait at the office, at least once they "fogot" we were there.

He makes you wait at least 45 minutes in each visit. But if you are late by 10 minutes, you have to re-schedule. Very unfriendly Nurse (Norma). She is not professional at all. She never returned the calls on the same day even though you called before lunch time. Prescription refill approvals take more than 24 hours most of the time. I am diabetic and I visit him every quarter for checkup. But every once in a while when I am late for some reason, he will deny my refill request and keep me without medication until I go for a checkup. I agree with other reviewers. He is funny. If that is what you are looking for in a doctor !!
