My wife and I have visited Dr. Moore for several years; however, I did break off after being advised that she no longer performed eyeglass exams. I just went back. Her office has changed to a new location, a significant lesser office; however, no bigee. I have no problem with Dr. Moore's professional qualifications/performance. She does, however need to improve her interaction with patients (bedside manner). She comes across as bland, never smiles, is not polite, does not engage in "how are you?' "When was the last time I saw you?" "Have there been any changes in your eyesight?", etc. There is none of this with Dr. Moore. She does not appear to care about her patients, does not provide feedback on her exam results. She appears to be downright bored by the whole process. Maybe she needs to change professions!

I started going here since NuVision Laser was on the short list of LASIK centers covered by my VSP plan. For LASIK, she was great. However for eye services, I'll go somewhere else. She tends to overschedule appointments which means an office visit co-pay each time. The appointments didn't really seem necessary as they were just to check on how you're doing. Unfortunately when treating my dry eyes, I wasn't informed how much out-of-pocket each procedure would cost! She put in temporary plugs which took only a couple minutes. Then more permanent ones a couple weeks later. To my shock a month later, I get a bill for $400! I don't even think the dry eye problem is worth THAT much to treat! Also she mentioned my vision plan covered $100+ for sunglasses & conveniently she has an array of glasses and sunglasses. But it seemed to me she was trying to squeeze as much money out of patients as possible. Lately, I've been waiting 20 minutes from time of appointment to actually meeting the doctor.

While Dr. Moore seems very competent, I would rate her as poor in relations with patients. She is all business, does not talk much, nor does she answer questions without extreme prodding. She is not involved in any of the business of the office and did not accept my vision plan. Her staff is one of the worst I have every seen (and I'm very senior). They are cold, unfriendly and seem to want you to pay right away. The office seems all about money, money and more money. They obviously don't want to serve people without money. I have taken my vision care to another doctor because my wife and I have not like the atmosphere in the office. And, my wife has complained about how seemingly unfriendly Dr. Moore is.
