I would not recommend Dr. Livingston for any elderly patients. His staff had my father contorting himself to get an X-ray of a broken arm and they dropped him on the floor which broke his other arm. I believe he thought we were going to sue them. When we went for a follow up visit Dr. Livingston threw the X-ray out into the garbage and had the nerve to tell me it was for filing.

To make matters worse when my father was in the office Dr. Livingston pushed him very hard into the chair. This was very disturbing to witness. Why on earth would a Dr. handle an elderly man with bone cancer so roughly. There was no reason for him to even touch my father let alone mistreat him. I never confronted him on this and regret not doing so to this day.

Mixed experience with Livingstone. First he was correct in my first knee surgery of a fractured piece of cartilage and fixed the problem. However, when I re-injured that same knee he refused to believe I could have really damaged it. He told me I was a "Psych-case" and basically blew me off. I went to another doctor who re operated on my knee and found that I had in fact sheared another piece of cartilage but from a different location and repaired it. So Livingston only rates 50% in his diagnostic skill which means an "F" grade to any student who scores that on a test.

Dr. Livingston performed surgery on my shoulder. I trusted him; he is very professional, is/was very patient with me. Explained everything so that I could understand what was going to happen during and after my surgery. Very thorough and took the time to address all my concerns. He never rushed me. His office staff is also helpful with the forms and very professional.

Dr. Livingston did one of my knee surgeries in the past (torn cartilage) and it went very well. However, I had to have a torn meniscus repair done with him last year and developed IT Band Syndrome immediately after the surgery. He insists that the two are unrelated, called me drug seeking (I was not), told me that it was just fibromyalgia in a dismissive way, and declined to give me further treatment for my pain that is absolutely limiting my mobility worse than before the surgery. His ego and all of his Top Doctor awards seems to get in the way of him helping the average person. I have an appointment with another doctor soon who will hopefully be able to help me.

I went to another Dr before Dr Livingston, complaining of severe knee pain and an MRI (ordered by my general DR), & that Dr wanted to give me cortisone shots. I then went to Dr Livingston for another opinion and he took x-rays and explained them and compared them to the MRI. I had a piece of cartilage that had broken off.Dr L. did arthroscopic knee surgery and removed the piece. The severe pain stopped. I am very satisfied with Dr L and have recommended him to others. Sometimes you may have to wait to see him, but he is worth it. He is very patient and intelligent. He answered all my questions and did not rush me. He has been selected as a Top Doctor and was highly recommended to me.

He's tops in his field. I would call him a "gentle giant." He's very tall and imposing, but really listens to you. He's up on the latest techniques and is excellent for sports injuries. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about Dr. Livingston.
