After multiple consultations with this doctor for PCOS & fertility issues, he realized I was gay and refused to treat me any further. In addition to wasting precious time, it was devastating to me and my wife to have shared so much personal information at the beginning of our fertility journey and have this abrupt full stop from a doctor. I expected more from a physician working at Northwestern.

I had a really good experience with Dr. Confino. I had a rare uterine anomoly that required surgery and Dr. Confino was great throughout the entire process. He followed up with personal phonecalls to make sure that my surgery was scheduled at an appropriate time. He is NOT just in the business of getting people pregnant. He is a great doctor who fixed my problem in a kind and caring way. I would recommend him to anyone who asked- I think he is great.

Dr. Confino was knowledgeable and understanding. It is definitely his priority to get you pregnant. We are now the proud parents of healthy twin 19 month old girls thanks to his practice which we are eternally grateful for. You do have to be your own advocate and speak up for what you believe and what you want at this practice(they are most concerned with this success rates for healthy pregnancies) but overall we had a very positive experience.

One of the worst IVF experience. I would describe Dr. Confino as being flakey/airhead. His office charged me $5,000 for cystic fibrosis testing that other facilities charge $600. Very dishonest practice. My psyche session entailed the psychiatrist(?) convincing me that IVF requires several attempts before success can be achieved. That should have been my first clue to run. I used a very young donor and whenever I asked questions pertaining to her ovary stimulation I was told that HIPPA prohibited them from disclosing any information without the donor's consent. I truly felt like the third wheel. At the time of my transfer, Confino didn't even show up. Transfer was performed by another physician Very unprofessional. And ofcourse, transfer was unsuccessful. No surprise there. This practice is soley after your money. Don't expect to get pregnant first time around.

Dr. Confino is very knowledgeable and is determined to get you pregnant. Thanks to his help we have perfect, 16 month old twins. He does not always come off as being warm or friendly, but he will do whatever he can to get you pregnant, healed, etc. However, I do think some of the nurses at his office could be more friendly since they are the ones that you are dealing with the most. I was shocked at how rude one in particular was to me and my husband on a couple of our visits. Fortunately, there are still some that treat the vulnerable, sensitive, and sometimes emotional patients with compassion.

Dr. Confino is a quack, he will waste your time. Dr. Confino does not care to try to find out why you are not getting pregnant he just wants you to keep trying. There by wasting your time and your insurance $.

Dr. Confino is a specialist in a lot of areas besides infertility. I had a major issue that he was able to resolve quickly when other doctors (not at Northwestern) were ready to just do a hysterectomy. He is a very warm, caring and brilliant doctor
