I was new to the area and went to her for a screening. In my opinion, she talked down to me terribly - condescending; sarcastic. I left there feeling defeated and never wanted to to back for any reason ever. The wait time was long, and it took over six months to get an appointment. Totally unpleasant visit.

I have seen her twice over the past six years, first time to remove busted vessels on my cheeks which cost 500 dollars for about 15 minutes of work. Second time to remove a growth on my rist. Which turned out to be skin cancer, sheduled me for a follow up 6 months later it was for a Monday, on the Friday prior to the appointment her office called and said she would be out of town on Monday and wanted to call to reschedule. Never happened since my wrist is fine and the growth never came back. She seems to have an attitude of someone from up North kinda short and snappy with people. She does not accept or particpates in Medicare nor Medicade. That kinda explains what type of Dr she is. So if u can i recommend seeing another Dr not her. To wait the last business day to call someone and ask them to reschedule is not cool. I had already requested that day off three weeks in advance.

I went to a dermatolgist in Bristol and a pathology lab came back indicating basal cell carcinoma. It was more convenient for me to see Dr Wessels. I went to the office a month ago to get an appt and also to sign a release so that the lab report would be here for my appt. Today, my appt was at 1pm . There were at least 6 other people waiting to sign in. We were all given forms to complete (I had already done that when I went in person, plus today, I received the form in the mail) nonetheless, I completed the form and went back to the entrance to give to the clerk but the door was locked and a sign saying "gone to lunch" was on the door!!!!? My appt was for 1pm and it was now 1:15 pm...so I asked the receptionist at the other practice to please retrieve my insurance card as I was leaving. Dr Wessel appears and said they were short handed and I could re schedule...She was nasty (in attitude) good thing I learned what she is like as I would never go to such an unprofessional doctor.

She is wonderful! Wouldn't go anywhere else. She cleared my acne and calmed me down about removing a mole. She is upbeat and cares about her patients as individuals.

Dr Wessels was terrible. She came breezing in, did NOT give me a thorough exam, even after I told her I had been treated for an atypical mole, which showed abnormal growth. Her only interest was in two tiny black moles, which she excised with some kind of a dermal punch, going through all seven layers of dermis! It took me several months to heal. She was officious, lordly, and rude. Did I say rude? The "co-pay" was enormous and inaccurate. We battled with her insurance person for a year, until Tricare sent them a letter explaining how much we really owed. She was an awful woman!

Dr. Wessels created the most unpleasant medical visit I have ever encountered. She was condescending, rude and arrogant. I am a lawyer and consider my intelligence above average. However, this doc spoke to me as if I were a child. She interrupted me as I showed her where I did not have acne to tell me, "that was not what I asked; I asked where DO YOU have acne." When I questioned her about the meds she was prescribing, she became exasperated with my questions (which were valid and not redundant. She exited the room without so much as a word to me and returned saying "i am trying to communicate to you but you are not listening." I ended the appointment at this point and told her I would find a new doctor. My problem w/Wessels is that I want a doctor who allows me to tell them my problems fully and a doctor who listens. I want open lines of commincation. I want a doc who will allow me to ask queations without feeling guilty and stupid. And Wessels was none of these to me.
