I can't think of a nice thing to say diplomatic as I'd like. I saw her once, while pregnant. Previously I had experienced premenstrual troubles. I went for a consultation re: possible postpartum depression and the use of an antidepressant during breast feeding. When asked if I did take an antidepressant and breast feed what could happen she, (true quote), responded, "worst thing that could happen is the baby stops breathing". I asked her if she was joking, she said no. When I told her that my terminally ill father had committed suicide when I was 11 years old, she asked me if, (real quote), "How do you know that your mother did not kill him?". Jaw dropping! I never reported my mother as abusive, violent, explosive, or witnessed any marriage troubles between my parents. I did mention that she had some depression, particularly after my father died. No idea why she would say such horrifying things.I never knew what to make of it, I just knew never to make another appointment with her.
