This Surgeon is a special person! She and her staff has given my 33 year old Son diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer nothing but positive vibes! She tells it like it is....gives you the facts.....and then says......this is my job....let me take care of it. Stop worrying about it! My Son calls Dr. Lisa his Angel! His Onocoligist says she just might be his miracle! I truly believe in miracles.......and Dr. Lisa..... you are one! Thank you!

I found Dr. Rutstein to be very caring and matter of fact. She went out of her way to fit me into her schedule on short notice and to schedule tests while I was there in order to save me another 65 mile trip. I would strongly recommend her.

Very good doctor seems like she knows what she is doing, but terrible bedside manner, she does not like to questioned and actedlike my stage 2 breast cancer was no big deal! "CUT HERE A CUT THERE, THROW A BANDAGE ON AND OU ARE OUT OF HERE!" Now I have to go back in to have more surgery, cuz it had more cancer in there then they thought!

Dr. Rutstein seems to be a great surgeon. Her bedside manner was terrible and her follow up care when I had big problems with my incision was less than what it should have been. She didn't seem to care much that I wasn't healing and would not take the advice of my home health care nurses (who were awesome!) recommendations on how to proceed to get me back on my feet. I would warn everyone who sees her not to expect a warm fuzzy person. I've been told that's the way surgeon's are....hmmmmmmmm

I found her to be extremely intelligent and knowledgable about her craft but,..not very helpful when it came to explaining things. She had a condescending, rude, and aloof bedside manner. I told her there was something terribly wrong with my incision and instead of taking a swab for infection, she just made a face and ignored me. I went to my regular doctor where they swabbed it and found an extremely rare and dangerous type of staff infection which should have been addressed but was ignored. My life was played with and I wasn't taken seriously, which could have damaged me permanantly or worse. All in all, she is a top doctor and my wish is that she LISTEN to her patients more or she might find herself in a disheartening situation. I don't want to insult her or her qualilty of service, but, this could have been a very bad situation for me and my family. As we all know, staff infection could be very dangerous for many and this should have been taken seriously.
