She spent a significant amount of time with me but I did not feel she listened. While talking with her, her condescending tone made me want to cry the whole time and when I did cry she thought i needed psychiatric help. I saw her long enough to get on CPAP but never could get myself to go back for follow up. She doesn't seem to know how to talk with people and is extremely judgmental.

She did a thorough exam, about one hour. She down-talked to me and had very little bedside manners during this exam. I was very uncomfortable in her office and never went back to her for any follow up.

I waited 2 months to see Julia Meyer. Her knowlege is as poor as her bedside manner. She talked down to me and basically said I needed anti-depressants w/o running any tests. It has taken me years to figure out what's wrong on my own. I suffer from hypothyroidism and secondary adrenal insuffiency. I would not waste my time and money with this "doctor". If you suspect that your insomnia is hormone related, visit www.stopthethyroidmadness.com and www.realthyroidhelp.com for answers so you can finally feel well.

Dr. Meyer was very honest in her evaluation of my problems, which helped me rethink the ways I've been dealing with my sleep problems. Great doctor.

Visited Dr. Meyer for chronic fatigue and sleep apnea. Have been on CPAP for many years--just wanted to be retested to see if current settings were adequate. She did a very thorough evaluation and questionnaire, but it was all a waste of time because in the end, she told me she would not treat me further until I stopped using caffeine and was treated for depression. I was stunned. If she would have treated the medical condition that caused the fatigue, I wouldn't need caffeine or treatment for depression. She failed to understand that without the caffeine, I would have never even been able to make it to my appointment. I never went back, and because of the fatigue, it took me almost 2 years to get up the energy to visit another sleep apnea doctor (John Staheli), who was wonderful.
