Dr. Roman is not a good doctor. His staff was very impolite and I had to call sometimes up to 10 times before getting ahold of anyone. They never returned phone calls. He told me I had an REM sleep disorder and began treating me with highly addictive drugs, amphetamines and benzos. I did not realize how addictive these drugs are, especially the benzo. After having me on the drugs for over a year, one day he told me he would no longer prescribe them to me and gave me no explanation. I had never even tried to refill a prescription early and took everything as prescribed 100%. I went to get a second opinion from Dr. Larry Saltis (in his group) and come to find out, Dr. Saltis said I do NOT have ANY sleep disorder. He apologized profusely to me and said he did not understand how Dr. Roman made such a big mistake or why he just stopped prescribing the drugs. Dr. Roman is trying to practice both medicine and law and I think he is stretching himself too thin.

Overall, staff was not very competent. Called me for missing appointment even though I had called two days earlier to cancel. I left message to explain this that I had cancelled appointment. Still received a bill for missed appointment. When I called again, they said don't worry, you get "one occurance" that they will not bill you for a missed appointment. This offended me because their staff still denies that I cancelled appointment in time. Called office manager, but he never responded. Also, after next appointment, I received a prescription which the pharmacist had a question about. Three days later, still no answer from Dr Roman to the pharmacist. Very disappointing..

I've been going to Dr. Roman for about 15 years. After my initial sleep disorder study, he corectly diagnosed my problem. Since then I have not had any problems. I now see him once a year for followups and maintainance. He is very friendly, and is always concerned about how am doing. He always asks about my family. We talk to each other like we've been buddies for years. I have never ever had any problems with him, and is always upfront with me. His staff is very proffesional, but yet friendly, and helpful in making sure that you have everything that you need, like medication, equipment for your cpap machine etc.etc. They acually make courtesy calls to check if they can help inany way.

The staff is amazing! They have been extremely friendly and helpful! Dr. Roman on the other hand, well...he is a very nice guy and he knows his stuff, but he failed to tell me that I had a diagnosis and could only tell me that he had no idea why I woke up so many times during my sleep study. I only found out because I requested a copy of my sleep study and it stated my diagnosis. This has been 11 months ago and I have been in severe trouble at work due to my tardiness and if I would have known this from the get-go, I could have talked to work about signing up for FMLA. It may be too late for me at this point since I have already gotten suspended without pay for 3 days and have another meeting with my boss at the end of the week, possible termination. Just awesome!

I have found this Dr. to be very knowledgeable and have not had a problem with him being in a hurry. Office staff is very nice and helpful also.

We found this doctor to be very helpful. As to the above post, sometimes he does seem rushed but I think that's just the way he talks and moves. The several appts I've been to see him, he spends at least 1/2 hour w/us if not more. I really am happy w/him and his care. Friendly, personable and a good listener.
