THE BEST DOCTOR! 6 years ago, Dr. Taney performed emergency lazar surgery for my sudden and extensive retinal tears, and through the years, he’s expertly managed and remedied every eye issue as they occurred. When diagnosed with a macular hole requiring surgery, the only reason I wasn’t completely terrified was that I truly believed I was in the best hands with Dr. Taney. This sense of trust got me through the entire ordeal including the face-down recovery. The surgery was a success, with an even better outcome than we hoped for. I know I will have to deal with eye issues as they arise but feel safe and secure with Dr. Taney and his extremely professional and efficient staff at The Retina Group of Florida. I believe Dr. Taney recommended laser surgery that was not needed. I visited Bascom Palmer eye hospital and one of their top teaching Drs stated that 8 out of ten retina specialist would not have reccomended surgery.
