http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2008-05-13/news/36792598_1_state-board-web-site-board-members Had to leave him 4 years ago once all this surfaced. My daughter, 5 at the time, started getting cavities every visit. Went elsewhere and she hasn't had one since. Plus, I know plenty of parents that have similar stories. He might have changed his ways, but I do not know since we left when all this surfaced.

Wonderful doc. Dr. Alalouf was our 2nd opinion. A first dentist had already found a bunch of cavities on our 2 daughters. Dr. A confirmed it and fixed them. He did the work with laughing gas. I think Dr. Alalouf uses a lot of imaging technology that helps him see borderline cavities that others don't focus on. I saw the images and I saw the cavities, so there isn't even a question of trust. I think the biggest past complaint was that he had been using general anesthesia a lot. But then I saw how much our 3 year old suffered without general anesthesia. Not everyone may agree with giving a young child general anesthesia, but it is certainly an understandable choice. There are certainly borderline cases that other dentists might handle differently, but isn't agressive treatment of cavities a *good* thing? There are evil doctors that permanently sterilize young children in the name of 'gender identity' and people worry about someone who chooses to treat both major and minor cavities?

Having been taking my kids to Dr. A. for 16 years. My youngest has a genetic disorder. After moving from the area, could not find a dentist in my area who was as patient and kind to my special needs child. We travel from VA to see Dr. A. I highly recommend him and his staff. He has taken great care of my kids teeth!

I've used Dr. Alalouf since 2004 for my 3 older kids. Regular appointments every half year. My oldest never had any problems - no fillings until now (he is 11.5). My daughter (9) had a cavity in 2007. I was told that she might need a crown or even extraction cause the cavity was deep, but when we came for the actual treatment, Dr. Alalouf made another xray and said he will try to fix it with regular filling and we will watch it. It worked - so far no problem. Since then she needed another small filling on another tooth - smooth treatment again. My younger daughter (5 now) is very difficult at the dentist office. She is starting caries on one of her teeth, but the doctor already recommended to use special fluoride paste and not to treat it yet, cause it will be too difficult on her and given the caries is still small, we can wait. All in all - only positive experience for us, 2 fillings for 3 kids. I intend to bring my 2 younger kids to this office too.

Dr. Alalouf's history raises significant concerns about unethical or perhaps illegal practices. Check the multiple reports, including: http://acc-tv.com/sites/wjla/news/stories/videos/consentorderdralalouf.pdf

Caught between a rock and a hard place. Great practice, love Dr. Alalouf's handling of my kids but common sense is making me choose a different practice. What if he tells me my child has a cavity? How can we trust him? Again, love the practice but we don't think we can trust him. I’m very sad about this. Anyone who could do what he did to children…..I know if I was inocent of these claims I would of fought tooth and nail and YES spent every dollar I had to claim my innocence. Bottom line for us is if he tells me my kid needs a cavity filled who’s not going to go for a second opinion ? Everyone , except for friends or family related , will now question his opinion. So sad...

His license should be taken away. His behavior is morally unbelievable.
