I have been a patient of his for 20 year's. When I first got sick I was full blown Agoraphobic. I have a medical background. Twenty year's ago when the staff at the hospital was giving me the wrong meds and I called them on it they insisted they were write. No I was he stood bye me made no excuses for them. Also he is a great Doctor butt with him you must be willing to help yourself to. If this is therapist working out whatever reading books on your own illness he is not a Magician. Meditation is 1/3 the rest is working on yourself educating yourself on your illness. If he sees you putt in the work and trying the best you can when you are able he will always be there for you. He helped me bye believing in me and why every case is different and psychologically is a imperfect science he truly does care trust me. I believe I no him better than most the trolls on here.

Breached confidentiality and told someone a diagnosis that I had never heard. Heartbreaking. I will never trust another mental health professional in my life. Crooked and kept me numbed on meds to a point where I didn’t know what I was saying. Very sad people like this in the world.

Staff is mostly fine except when a new staff member misunderstood me and rustagi sent me a letter ending our patient doctor relationship. Rustagi is rude, unprofessional, and mean. He only cares about money and is borderline breaking the law with things he's said and done to me.

Best way to describe this practice is a “people mill”. Wait times are upwards of 45 minutes, and you get about 5-10 minutes of the doctor’s time. It seems clear he has more patients than he can handle, so he shoves them in and out as quick as possible. He’s very rude and condescending, often interrupts you and ends up just pushing you out the door with more meds. I don’t remember the last time I was able to actually squeeze a word in. Some staff members are helpful, most are incredibly rude, even over the phone. Overall, not a pleasant place to seek help.

Long ago in the early 1990s I had been suffering from depression and treatment was not working. I went to Dr. Rusagi and he worked until he found the best solution; a solution no other doctor had considered. That treatment has carried me through to today and beyond. He was diligent in solving the problem, unlike any other doctor I had seen. Thank you for saving my life and making it possible to be a productive person. You are the best.

The wait time is usually an hour or so for maybe ten minutes of the Doctor's time. When I did not have time to wait and asked to reschedule he refused to fill my prescription for anxiety/depression that I will have withdrawal symptoms from. He is short and seems to have way too many patients to handle. I requested a change in medication and he suggested one he had just previously prescribed me that did not work and then suggested an over the counter that is not FDA approved. I am currently looking for a new psychiatrist.

Dr. Rustagi's waiting room is full every time I come, with as many as 8 people ahead of me to see the same doctor. Wait times are horrendous. And when you are able to finally see him, he is very dismissive and rude. I'm normally very patient and tolerant of doctors, but he has obviously overbooked himself with patients. Currently searching for a new psychiatrist.

I've been trying to find a new psychiatrist since my last one, who was a quack. Found this guy was still practicing, and I had him back when I was a kid. I remember his take on me back then, and he (aside from the place I was in) was actually helpful. Now? His response was that he didn't "want to step on another doctor's shoes." So what, this is a game of cohoots or something? Totally unprofessional.

I thought long and hard before deciding to submit this but I think others are in my shoes and potential patients should know that Dr. Rustagi may not have your loved ones best interest in mind. Dr. Rustagi seems to be in it for the money. Long waits, unprofessional staff, poor communication, and I would question his ethics. My husband suffered greatly and lived in another reality. The first episode involved my husband believing that God talked to him and that I was Satan. He had a large caliber hand gun pointed to my head performing a ritualistic ceremony speaking in strange patterned language. I thought I was dead. In a moment of clarity my husband agreed he needed rest. Dr. told me to get him to hospital. After years, Dr. couldn't get his meds right. Diagnosed him with depression. My husband was paranoid and would not change to another doctor. He suffered for too long and our family was not safe. I had to take legal steps to protect our family and we are now in hiding. Loved ones with mental illness do not need to suffer.
