Do not go to this doctor!!! He delivered my 3rd son by c-section. He ended up cutting my sons' shoulder blade during the section. This required stitches by a plastic surgeon just hours after he was born. He also cut me twice. Once the normal way then from my belly button down. I ended up having a T incision. He never apologized or mentioned my sons back. I thought about sueing but didnt. I am just thankfully my child wasn't cut anywhere else like his face, ear, fingers etc.... I now go back to Dr Egan because I found where he is practicing at since leaving Tomasik.

I went to this doctor for ulcers I had been getting in my mouth. I read online that my birth control can cause these, so I had some questions. He dismissed me saying I can't believe everything I read on the internet, and ordered a blood test for herpes, which causes sores on the outside of the mouth (not the inside). I went home to look for any herpes that causes canker sores....it doesn't exist. So, I ended up paying for tests I didn't need. He has been good in the past. He delivered me, and my mom has happily been going to him for years. This visit, though, was unfriendly, he didn't listen to my concerns, and he dismissed any real causes to my mouth ulcers.

Dr T is old school, however he has his patient's best interest. When I was pregnant with my last child my blood pressure went up at the very end of my pregnancy. I had preeclampsia - I went to two appointments with his partner at the time and he totally dismissed my high blood pressure. When I see Dr. T he sent me straight to the hospital. I had protein in my urine and my blood pressure could not be controlled. I could have died if it was left untreated. He is very knowledgeable and does care. When I went for my yearly check up, he told me to lose weight if I want to have another child without so many complications. I believe he has the patient's best interest at hand. He might be straight forward, but I appreciated a dr. that can be honest with me.

I have been a patient under Dr. Tomasik for 34 years. He is thorough, professional, up-to-date, and concerned. Although he is my OB/GYN doctor, he has found significant other things wrong with me - diagnosed correctly by him. These things required some surgeries. He found the correct blood pressure medication for me, and has correctly prescribed other medications that other doctors (including specialists) have missed. He has always been personable, yet to the point when it comes to medical diagnoses and treatment. While others consider him an alarmist at times, I see this as "doing it right the first time" when it comes to exploring symptomology. His staff has also always been helpful and accomodating. I am also the mother of two children, and he was wonderful during these pregnancies. Although I have relocated to another area, I return to Shorewood to continue as his patient.

He talks at you, not to you. I had questions & wrote them down. I had an office visit and gave him the list & asked him the questions. When the visit was over (bc he got up & started to walk out) I had no questions answered & he ordered blood tests w/o explanation why & they had nothing to do w/ any of the questions I had. In addition one expensive one (almost $300 after insurance) had just been done by another doctor 2.5 weeks earlier but he dismissed this when I told him. When I left I was flustered by his being so dismissive & had no questions answered. When I got home I was frustrated, called the office to ask the nurse the same questions, she said she would have to ask the doc & would call back. It has been 2 days, I have received no call back. I started going to this doctor almost 10 years ago, switched from seeing him to seeing the nurse practitioner there (who is wonderful). Now that we are trying to have children I had to deal with him again. I have decided to switch doctors.

Good Doctor but at times can be an alarmist. Nurses in office are OK. If you call him after hours - it needs to be for emergencies only!!(and he'll let you know that). Sometimes difficult to talk to.
