If you're going to him for a tattoo removal, don't bother. Make the drive to Cleveland or Canton for picosure treatment instead (which is a higher quality technology anyway and will remove your tattoo faster).
I went to Dr. McMahan for several sessions; during my first tattoo removal consultation, he sat me down and basically scolded me for the "mistakes" I had made. Which are NONE of his business. He is was extremely unprofessional in his overbearing judgmental attitude. He acted as if he was in a position to judge me for having tattoos and wanting to remove one - as if he himself isn't performing bodily modifications daily, a field that is often judged just as harshly!
I stopped going to him because his laser technology is out of date - and because with every session, he was highly impersonal, dismissing my validity as a paying patient.

Dr. McMahan has done a Breast Augmentation and an Upper Blepharoplasty on me as well as periodic injections of Botox and Juvederm (which is money very well spent)! I have been absolutely thrilled with my results! His consultations are very thorough; he totally explains the procedure, gives a realistic idea of what to expect, answers all questions and addresses any concerns. I was an OR nurse for over 20 years and saw the work of numerous plastic surgeons, and in my opinion, Dr. McMahan is truly the best! I would never hesitate to recommend him to my family, friends or anyone that asks! As an added bonus I have never had to,wait when I have an appointment with him, he runs on time. His office staff is wonderful too; they are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My calls are returned promptly. It is a very positive experience working with Dr. McMahan!

As a registered nurse I was very impressed by Dr. McMahan's exceptional bedside manner. My 1 month post-op rhinoplasty results have by far exceeded my expectations. My nose looks very natural and proportional to my other facial features. I would highly recommend Dr. McMahan to any friend or family member interested in under-going plastic surgery. On a side note, Dr. McMahan's staff is absolutely wonderful. Do your research, and you will find very similar stories to mine.

I have two friends who had a face lift done by Dr. McMahan. They look awesome! Dr. McMahan has outstanding credentials and a reputation as one of the best in Columbus. Being in my late fifties, I didn’t like the way my face was falling in around me. I was hiding from people I knew because I didn’t want them to see how I had aged. I decided to have an eye lift and a face lift done by Dr. McMahan. I am so glad I chose him! He was extremely friendly, caring and truly concerned about all of my needs. All of my consultations with his office were exceptional. He absolutely has the best staff ever! They are down to earth and extremely helpful with EVERY question and concern you have. I had very little swelling and hardly any bruising and I was back to work within two weeks. I have to say that I now look AWESOME and I am so very pleased with the results! I highly recommend Dr. McMahan for any plastic surgery needs you would have.

I have had several procedures done by Dr. McMahan. I have been very pleased with each and every surgery that I have had including a face lift, tummy tuck, and breast lift. I first started with the tummy tuck and breast lift. I was amazed at the results as were my friends. I had a gastric by-pass and had large quantities of skin that needed to be removed and lifted. Today, you would not know of my past. My stomach is as flat and smooth as one could imagine and the breast lift couldn’t be more perfect. After having these procedures completed a year later I had a facelift. Again, the results were wonderful and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. McMahan is very thorough and patient. He explains everything in detail and what you should expect after surgery. The staff has always been very friendly and courteous and I have felt very welcome in his office.

Dr. McMahan is wonderful and knowledgable and extremely skilled. After many surgeries I have had great results and I look better than I have in a long time. The before and after care instructions were a lot bur I am very pleased how the nurse took so much time to go over them all with me and explain them to me. I am not however very pleased with the girl at the front desk. Several times I have walked in and she is throwing some kind of a temper tantrum. I find her very unprofessional especially her language and her choice of clothing. I feel that in a cosmetic office the first person I see should be wearing clothes that fit and should not be using such foul language or be so unpleasant. Despite her, I would still continue to see Dr. McMahan because he does do such wonderful work. I would not go or trust anyone else.

Having a tattoo removed and am very happy with dr mcmahan. Always on time, very friendly and the results are more than I expected. The office staff was friendly and always helpful. Compared to others, his prices are very reasonable. If you think you made a mistake by gettting a tattoo, dr mcmahan is the dr to see.
