I have seen Dr Shinn for 8 years. He diagnosed me with a condition that 3 other doctors failed to catch. I spent several years managing symptoms because of him. When I tried to get pregnant, he gave me lots of helpful info and advice and started me on fertility medications. I eventually became pregnant after 2 years and delivered a perfect healthy baby girl. My pregnancy could have been hard but his care and knowledge helped me to have a very healthy pregnancy and baby.

Dr. Shinn and his staff are professional and caring. They worked with my schedule to get in to see him and he was on time and very helpful in my decisions I had to make.

I came in with bleeding and pain. I was very scared. This doctor did not have a good bedside manner. He would not listen to me and refused to even attempt an abdominal ultrasound. When I gushed blood during the ultrasound, he left me laying in the stirrups for 20 minutes while he saw to other patients. He then returned and completed the vaginal ultrasound. He did a very quick scan, only telling me about one of my babies. He didn't seem to care that I am carrying twins. He was not very optimistic with his prognosis. He didn't even attempt to offer reassurance.

Dr Shinn was a great doctor when he delivered my daughter, did my hysterectome, and removed a cyst. Unfortunately, when he removed another large cyst and the left ovary, he almost killed me. He tore the urter tube from my bladder and did not notice that he did this. Two days later when I was so sick from paratanitis, he was supposed to meet me at the hospital. He checked out 5 minutes before I got there without leaving any kind of instructions. I had to have a surgery to reapir my urter tube, was hospitalized for 5 days and was told by the urologist that had I waited 1 more day to go to ther ER I would have died. I would NEVER go back to him again. If he does not have enough consideration for me to wait till I get there to find out what is going on, then I have no use for him. I would not recommend him for a surgery to anyone. Now, delivering babies is another story. He was great with my daughter.

He is the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of going to. He is extremely nice and patient. He thoroughly answers all your questions and lets you make your own decisions. He is also a superb surgeon. I had two c-sections and you can barely see the scar!
