I JUST LOVE DR. THOMAS--HE HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR SINCE 1984 (TULANE) I WOULD NEVER HAVE ANOTHER KIDNEY DOCTOR. HE IS THE BEST !!!!!!!!!

Dr. Thomas is listed in Best Doctors In America.Now I know why.Tulane Medical is as good as it gets in the Gulf South.He and his staff were on top of there game all the way.If your case is cureable he is the Doctor.Also He personally whelled me into the operating room and kept my brother informed.Call me personally on Sat. to give me the Pathology report. Terrible! No conscience whatsoever! Dr. Raju Thomas neglected my cancer ridden father for months after my father was complaining about pain and jitters. My father lost a kidney thanks to the neglectful Dr. Raju Thomas. I wonder why he is still practicing and teaching at Tulane.

March 2009 An outstanding physician. Not arrogant. Very attentive. I had prostate cancer. My office visit was a long wait, but well appreciated once I saw him. Once I was taken to the back I realized, talking to others, that this was not a quick clinic but that Dr. Thomas took what ever time it took. This was 100% true. He took his time to discuss my situation, continued to ask if my wife or I had any question. We watch a video in his office. Once the video was over he came back in and actually had a white board and drew what would be done and in what steps. My actual time spent with him was anywhere from 1hr and 45 min to 2 hours. Never being rushed for anything. For the surgery he or one of his team members always kept my wife informed. Throughout the surgery she was visited 4-5 times. Very well satisfied with Dr. Thomas and "Tulane Hospital" Great staff. I had never been treated so well by a Dr. or a Hospital. Would I use him again? YES I traveled over 100 miles to get there

What an outstanding physician. I had a tumor and Dr. Thomas took so much time with me to discuss all my options. He showed me my scan, and sat with myself and my son (who brought me to the office), and explained exactly what would happen, could happen and should happen. He was friendly, caring and took so much time to assure I too became fully aware of every aspect of my surgery. What an outstanding, caring physician. Interestingly, since he is so well known, I was afraid he would be arrogant -- anything but.. he was so attentive, and spoke in laypersons terms to assure I understood. He worked with the hospital to assure my admission would go smoothly. His professional MD team was there and waiting for me, all smiles, which helped my comfort level. Went out and spoke to my son right after the surgery. He liked them, too. He's the BEST, and then, personally called 6 weeks later to assure I felt okay! Didn't use a nurse or staff, but him personally -- He's the BEST.

This physician's knowledge base is among the most respected in the field. However, technical superiority can be challenged by personal arrogance. This is a dangerous flaw, which this physician seems not to comprehend. The average rating here hides this danger.
