After years of wearing a cape, jumping off tall buildings in a single bound and going beyond the limits the human body was generally intended to go, eventually age, abuse and less than perfect physical conditioning up catches up with you.

The body will do it's best to work with you, however, when it's had enough it will send you a message... it's call PAIN!

Sometimes it's a little pain, sometimes it screams at you and makes it unbearable to go one more minute without having to pay attention to it.

I was had a military training instructor tell me "Pain is your friend", which I am sure everybody in the training cycle though the same thing as I did... "With friends like that, who needs enemies!".

But as inconvenient, uncomfortable and aggravating as pain sometimes is... It's right. Human's do not have a check engine light telling you when something is wrong.

Just your good ole Major Pain, who is not nearly as funny as Damon Wayan's Major Payne, but few things are.

Years of wrestling, judo, martial arts training, jumping off buildings, into oceans out of aircraft provided me quite a few opportunities to become pretty well acquainted with my friend Pain, who over the years would relentlessly remind me not to do some things quite the same way again, and some, NOT AT ALL!

So much so that of recent years I noticed a significant reduction in my speed doing things, my overall low energy (? mark shape) getting out of bed in the morning (did I forget to say Mr. Pain uses up a lot of energy, worse than a girlfriend that steals your blankets in the middle of the night and puts her cold feet on your back keeping you from a goodnight's sleep)

Anyway, Pain and injuries decided to gang up on my trying to ignore them (which boys and girls is something you shouldn't do with your girlfriend either, unless you like cold feet and waking up without any blankets...just sayin!)

Enter Dr. Arie Gluzman who knows more about pain than Zsa Zsa GΓ‘bor, Larry King, Liz Taylor, Mickey Rooney, Alec Wildenstein, Rupert Murdoch and Mel Gibson's Divorce Lawyers know about divorce combined.

Which is VERY Good to know when you're looking for a divorce from pain!

I met Dr. Gluzman through his medical practice partner Dr. Daniel S. Yanni who is a star Neurosurgeon as one of the premiere Minimally Invasive Neurosurgeons in Orange County. Who also have an office crew that ROCK!

Together Dr. Yanni and Dr. Gluzman together are the Back Pain Dynamic Duo Team! (in order of appearance SAG/Aftra member always complain about this stuff so it's become 2nd nature)

Dr. Gluzman stops the pain and Dr. Yanni fixes bones nerves and vertebrae from the brain to your toes when they refuse to cooperate.

These young-ish (nobody gets out of medical school and training young), energetic, caring, kind, up to date, no-nonsense tell it to you straight guys will tell you what you can, or more importantly what they can or cannot do for you an not waste your time.

What we all should expect but not always get from our doctors in America.

After meeting with Dr. Yanni, looking at the recent CT, MRI and XRay scans I provided he was quickly able to determine several cervical, lumbar and even a thoracic spine issue I was not aware of.

Dr. Yanni referred me to Dr. Gluzman who did EMG tests to check out any nerve damage.

After the two of them shared their diagnosis they came up with several strategies in order of priority and discussed them in detail with me.
Some I didn't want to hear, but made sense and Dr. Gluzman scheduled me for an Epidural Injection aka a BIG needle in the spine!?!

Now, I'm not afraid of guns, knives and some types of bombs, but little shiny needles still make a wuss out of me...bigger ones... a bigger wuss.

The procedure is done in a surgical center with Anesthesiologist, nurses and of course Dr. Gluzman.

They had me scheduled for a 05:30 check in for a 06:30 procedure.
Dr. Ted Quilligan M.D was my Anesthesiologist who I will call Dr. Feelgood from now on.

After the normal strip show (by myself) and donned the obligatory open back gown which is all the craze in these places, not a big fan, especially in the cold OR's, however once on the gurney rolled into the OR, I was covered with warm heated blankets, snugly face down on the table with a chiropractic type hole for your face and Dr. Ted "Feelgood" Quilligan said where going to start the IV and less than 30 minutes later I woke up not realizing everything was ALREADY DONE! WT...HECK!?
No Disorientation!
No Headache!
No Nausea! which has always been an issue for me!

NO PAIN from the procedure, Like it never happened, except 24 hours later much less spine pain Dr. Gluzman said with continue to subside over the next several days!

Forgive the diatribe review, but I felt it important that people like me who are not big fans of surgery, needles and anesthesia or pain medications, to cut to the chase and Meet the Docs! You won't regret it!

I was treated by Dr. A. Gluzman 2 weeks ago for a break in my ankle that happened 40 years ago. I have been in extreme pain and seeing orthopedic doctors but I was not getting any relief from the pain. I have bone on bone in the ankle because the ankle was not set correctly 40 years ago. Dr. Gluzman injected my ankle and it took about one week of resting the ankle, but I am currently pain free. Dr. Gluzman advised me another injection may be needed in about 6-8 months. Previous doctors were just treating me with cortisone and I had relief only for 2-3 days. My wife advised me to see Dr. Gluzman because he treated her for severe hip problems about 2 years previous. Her hip is doing very well other doctors gave her no relief. Appointments with Dr. Gluzman are always a pleasure. He listens intently to the problem and never rushes you. His office staff are very friendly and helpful whether visiting the office for appointments or speaking with them on the telephone. My wife and myself are very pleased to recommend Dr. Gluzman. We have recommended him to family and friends.

I have been seeing Dr. Gluzman for over a year now for my leg and back pain. He helped me greatly thru all the testing and treatments but alas I eventually had surgery to fuse my L4 and L5. Now no pain. I still see him on occasion to follow up with any possible issues. He is easy to approach and very understanding of the pain that I had been having.
His staff are great and very attentive. Always easy to get in and make an appointment.
Can't go wrong.
