I am an RN. He is an excellent MD. Worked with Dr. Chervenak in surgery and in labor and delivery at St. Barnabas. Competent and good sense of humor. He delivered my daughter. Been a patient for over 20 years. Would highly recommend. NP's good too. Erin and Sue K are top notch. Can't go wrong.

I was referred to Dr. Chervenak late in my pregnancy as my obgyn no longer delivered and he covered. upon my initial call to the office I had to advocate to be seen by the doctor and not the nurse. Dr. Chervenak examined me twice and the remainder of the appointments the mid wife or nurse practioner examined me. Everytime I requested Dr. Chervenak I was advised that he had no availability. Come time to the day I was scheduled to be induced Dr. Chang whom covered for Dr. Chervenak delivered me. I was advised that Dr. Chervenak has been on leave . Never once did the office advise me of this or advise me Dr. Chervenak would not be delivering me. Such poor customer service and no regard to myself as a patient to let me know dr. Chervenak wouldn’t even be delivering me. I will never return to this practice I was highly disappointed in the overall staff. I did not feel the positive reviews online matched my overall experience in person.

excellent, no better doctor; he is patient kind and listens; he has a great sense of humor and a great bedside manner. I could not think of going to anyone else. the staff are friendly and will answer any questions that you have. Dr sue also is wonderful. very funny very knowledgeable and compassionate.

Very controlling and condescending. Mandates dopplers at all visits and inductions at duedate. Made no sense for my low risk pregnancy. Dismissed my desire for a natural birth. Doubted I could know my duedate based on my cycle ("how can you be sure?") and pressured me into having a 12-week ultrasound (when I wanted to only have the 20-wk anatomy US). It was such a fast ultrasound that he wasn't even confident of his findings. This should be your doctor if you don't want to be involved in decisions or have patient choice. On the other hand, staff is wonderful. Nurses were mostly great, except one nurse erroneously told me I couldn't have NIPT in my early second trimester since I'd missed the cut-off for a nuchal scan; not true! Upon switching providers, I got NIPT later on. Sue was mostly helpful, with the sad exception that she's misinformed about the safety of tandem nursing. She raised an eyebrow when I nursed my 2 year old and hinted I might have to stop nursing him, even though I'd had no worrisome symptoms.

I have been a patient of this office for 12 years. I could not not imagine going to any other doctor. I have referred numerous friends and family to this practice. Dr. C and Sue are the best.

I LOVE DR CHERVENAK - THE OFFICE STAFF IS GREAT FROM THE RECP THRU THE DOCTOR HIMSELF!!! HE HIMSELF CALLS YOU BACK WHICH YOU DONT FIND IN OTHER OFFICES. I AM SO GLAD THAT MY FRIEND RECCOMENDED HIM TO ME ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO! HE IS FUNNY TOO, HE MAKES THE PATIENTS FEEL GOOD WITH JOKES ESP WHEN YOU NEED THEM THE MOST - WHICH IS MOST TIMES. HAVING A GYN AS GOOD AS HIM YOU WOULD THINK THAT OTHER DOCS WOULD GET THE HINT ONE OF THESE DAYS TO BE LIKE HIM. WHERE WAS HE 30 YRS AGO FOR THE BIRTH OF MY CHILDREN?????? The worst doctor ever! Dr. Chervenak is a terrible doctor who has no clue what he is doing. I had a cyst 4 times and all he ever did was drain it without considering a more permanent option. Again he has no clue what he is doing. All he did was scream at me and treat me poorly. I am now with a new wonderful doctor who has taken care of my problem permanently. Terrible doctor, terrible person, and terrible staff. Stay Away!!!

I have been going to this place for about 8 years now and cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Chervenak, Sue, and the staff at Florham Park OBGYN. Dr. C is the most knowledgeable and down to earth doctor and as previous reviews have said will NOT put you through unnecessary tests and procedures. He delivered both of my children and when my second one looked to have some potential issues in utero, Dr C was there to support me and give me honest advice unlike other drs who are afraid to tell you anything that is not out of a text book. His staff is always very accommodating as well.

Dr. Chervenak was referred to me by a good friend. He was on time, professional, funny and knowledgeable. He gets in touch with you quickly and is extremely thorough. I love the fact that he is conservative about medicine and doesn't believe in over testing or over treating unless there is a real reason to test. Great clinician and a wonderful person. His support staff are all lovely and very compassionate.

Dr Chervenack, Sue and the support staff are really caring and knowledgeable. They explain everything, call back if you have questions and are great at following up. All around good service.
