Being a healthcare specialists of 20+ years living with a rare Neuroendocrine disease. I thought I had picked the right doctor as I read many good things about him and while waiting for him in a room I saw his many degrees or awards for DIABETIES. That's his strong area I feel. I went for 8+ years only once per year at times and always felt he was not listening and hurried. When your time is up it's UP. Currently being mismanaged and he did NOT respond to my OUT OF RANGE lab results which made another doctor ask me "WHY if we live in such an area of brilliant doctors just above me..(BOSTON) why do I settle for less?" I FIRED HIM and his staff is not so competent either. When a thyroid PANEL is done and you only get one lab report it should have made them say?? WHERE is the other half of this?? That was not my case. I'm suffering at their hands as they allow my numbers to climb for my rare disease causes increased antibodies to attack my BRAIN. Please find someone who will care and listen to your valid complaints and LAB RESULTS.

Dr. Yacoub is a very intelligent physician. He is quite knowledgeable in the area of Diabetes. He can quote the latest statistics to confirm a diagnosis. True he is busy and does not have enough time to spend with the patients but there are a huge number of patients in the area that suffer from Diabetes. He added new physicians to the team to help resolve this issue.

I really like this specialist because he is extremely intelligient and knowledgeable, however he has too many patients. Making an appointment is difficult and sometimes during appointments I felt like he didn't spend enough time with me. I felt as though he brushed my concerns under the rug. I am 25 years old and he diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Disease. I see him every 6 months for about 5 minutes. I find that he rushes me out of his office every time. I wanted to find another endocrinologist however they are tough to come by in this area (fall river) and I heard there is no one better than him. I guess we will see
