I had Loop Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Bilof in December 2015 and my life has changed forever. Dr. Bilof is an excellent, skilled surgeon and I have had not one complication. It's been an awesome recovery and in 6 months I've lost 80 lbs. I was highly recommended to him by 2 friends who had successful weight loss surgery and I can see why. I had multiple pre-op appointments with him and not once did I feel rushed or pressured. He answered every question I had and was very patient with me, even as I wavered with with which procedure to have. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have WLS.

I had my surgery with Dr. Bilof back in 2005. I started having bad pain in my belly. I went to him and he told me I had an ulcer. So I got a scope but no ulcer. So I went back and told him. So he said I had a gallbladder problem. So I got a scan and it wasn't my gallbladder. So I went back to him and he said I must be doing something wrong and that its my fault. But Ive been doing everything he told me. The pain got worse and worse and I kept calling him and begging him to do something, but he refused and told me I was doing it to myself. My husband called him and they got into a shouting match as he tried to convince Dr. Bilof that I wasn't doing anything wrong and asked him to help me. He hung up on us. When I tried to see him in the office the staff said that he had no time. I started to think I was crazy. Then I had such bad pain that I had to go to the ER. Dr. Nusbaum had to operate and found my bowels twisted. He took pictures as proof. Thank God Dr. Nusbaum agreed to take me

Dr Bilof is a wonderful physician. Very knowledgeable & great bedside manner. I had a very high risk surgery, I felt very confident that I would do well and I did. I thank God every day and pray that he should be well and continue the wonderful work that he was intended to do. Best doctor in US!!!!
