I had Dr Ellis for my mental illness for about 11 years . He was very helpful and knowllegable using the older classes of medications -- when these meds started to fail he was not up to date with the newer types of meds -- He would respond to depression and anxiety symptoms but would not discuss ones experienceses ( councelling )

Doesnt know anything. Doesnt know meds. Rushes you out door after your hypnosis section. Rude. Retire already.

He told me to shut up also told me that I needed to talk to a women instead.He at the end of the meeting which he cut short made me cry. I was excited and hopeful to find someone helpful and caring I was very disappointed and some what traumatized by my experience with him. He was also more interested in prescribing me something then listening to me at all. He Made me feel belittled and become agitated and angry when I did not agree on something or questioned something. I do not recommended him to anyone that is depressed looking for up to date information or anyone that is not looking for just a black and white answer with no feeling or compassion.

Dr. Ellis was great at my initial consultation. I was impressed that rather than focus solely on medication, he believes it just as important to focus on relaxation techniques, CBT and trying to change the way you react to stressful situations. I'm looking forward to my next visit where he is going to start teaching me relaxation techniques.

I have tried a few different Dr.'s but felt that it was just a waste of money and stopped going after a few visits. Dr Ellis seems to really care about his clients and has many different suggestions on how to deal with different issues.I would recommend this Dr. to everyone :)

I have finally found a caring, professional, and extremely knowledgeable doctor. He creates a safe, comfortable, calming atmosphere and listens. His receptionist is friendly and calming. I was put at east the moment i entered his office and was able to communicate my concerns as never before. His suggestions were refreshing and gave me hope. I would highly reccomend Dr. Ellis to friends and family.
