Dr.Johnsin performed my wisdom teeth removal in his office. I woke up with numbness in the left side of my tongue. The numb sensation still remains (over 6 years later). He was extremely vague about explaining the post op instructions. I went home with blood gushing from my mouth. Being concerned about the loss of blood, a family member attempted to contact Dr.Johnsin. Unfortunately, Dr.Johnsin was not responsive. I masked the unbearable pain with my pain pills, and slept it off. I recommend going elsewhere.

Very pleasant experience with Dr Johnson. He removed 4 wisdom teeth on my grandson and did 3 implants on me. Good follow up and absolutely no problems. Very little pain on the wisdom teeth and no pain on the implants

Had to go out of state to get this implant removed. This Dr insisted I crown it even thou I kept on telling him I was in pain. He even told me to quit coming in and find another Doctor to put on the abutmente. I couldn't take it anymore after nearly (2) years and it was found to be Chronically infected with Scar Tissue. I see he had some other poor reviews that were here a month ago, but now are gone? Even when I went to Spokane they had to order tools to get it out. Concerned Resident Andrea papke I am on Forgrace.org Andrea Papke The Dental Board never responded to my appeal

This is so sad to see this man is still hurting people. I almost died for lack of care because of a rotten dental implant that after 2 years he still demanded I put a tooth on. No other Dr in South Bay wanted to get involved. So w/ the help of my Aunt I found a Dr out of state in Spokane. The implant was chronically infected. He put a real big one in that on one had tools for - even in Spokane. The Dental Board of CA did nothing about my complaint. As you can see he is still hurting innocent victims. Advocate

Prior to my appointment I called to determine what amount was covered by insurance. While the staff was very friendly I was told 80% when in reality all work done wasn't covered by any insurance & I was out more than $1000. The Doctor was insensitive to my discomfort during the procedure and my anxiety of being in "the chair". He was also quite stern when dealing with his assistants, which made me more nervous. I would not recommend this doctor unless you enjoy being lied to, ignored and abused.

Had a dental implant here. Had Pain after a few weeks. He told me when I came in to never come back and even find another Doctor to put on the abutment. I sat in pain for (2) years. I went back again a 1 1/2 later. He still insisted I put a tooth on it. After that he never returned my calls. I went out of state and found a Dr in Spokane to remove. I see he has another similiar review to mine on a different site. Buyer Beware I could'nt find a Doctor in Torrance to help me because no one had tools. Even my own general Dentist told me "Good Luck." I'm glad I left because after it was removed the Dr in Spokane found it contaminated- the screw had never totally healed. I just hope he does not hurt any more un-suspecting victims. My story is true on Forgrace.org

my experience at the office of Dr. Barry Johnson. On 10/26/09, I received sub-standard service that resulted in damage that I will not forget. He was insensitive to the pain he was causing me and utilized his superior size to physically intimidate me into submission. I reported feeling pain at time of surgery, he dismissed my feelings and proceeded to inject me with more pain killers in a forceful and callous manner. The assistant was appalled at the doctor’s behavior and stated, “I know you won’t be coming back here. He also creats a hostile atmosphere for his employees as evidenced by him raising his voice and demeaning his staff while patients were around. I sought out the UCLA School of Dentistry received gentle care that I would recommend. My experience with the doctor’s office was bad he is doing harm. The chief resident for oral & maxillofacial surgery also questioned the use of non-dissolvable sutures, which represents a non-standard of care for that type of surgery.
