Dr Cogen is an excellent physician. He is very caring and intelligent and he always gets my diagnosis accurate and always targets the appropriate medication when necessary. He has never put me on a medication that did not work effectively at resolving whatever I am dealing with. It's not a fancy office but if you are looking for excellent care...you will definitely get that with Dr. Cogen. If you need to be referred out they are very selective about who they will send you to. They know all the folks that provide the best care in the area.

I have seen way too many doc's over past 7 years and at first was amazed how long the doc spent with me. EXTREMELY thorough, very, very knowledgeable and one of the most caring doc's I've ever seen. The office is more than casual so I can understand some of the remarks from others but once you get to know the staff, you'll be 100% comfortable with everything. Couldn't ask for a better, more caring doctor and this comes from 11 surgeries over past 7 years visiting 100's of others.

Very down to earth and friendly. A nice change from the typical uptight bumout doc visit. They will arrange after hours visits and go out of their way to help. My daughters finally have a doctor that cares.

The staff was very friendly but the exam was not as thorough as I would have expected. They made us come back for lab results which were 100% normal, presumably to collect the office visit fee.

His staff didn't return phone calls, call to re-confirm appointments, and didn't arrange to have lab specialists come to the office for pre-arranged lab work on numerous occasions. A resident toy-dog runs throughout the examining rooms (theoretically to distract children from shots). Dr Barry Cogen seemed quite aloof, and after three visits he only confirmed medical conditions I had previously been diagnosed with from past lab work. The overall experience was very dissatisfying. This practice gives Dr of Osteopathy a bad name.
