Unless you are super skinny, don't bother. She will fixate on fat shaming you to the detriment of any other care. I told her I had been a victim of sexual abuse and I needed her to talk me through procedures, and she still inserted an IUD without even a warning hand on my thigh. She spent more time telling me to see a bariatric surgeon then she spent talking to me about sexual health, or even asking me about my weight. There was no asking at all really - it was just one quick look and then judgment. have a weight problem - I know that. It's got deep roots and I've been working on it in therapy for a few years now, and I am slowly getting better. I came to Dr. Carlo for gynecological care, and I got almost none.

I met Dr. Carlo at my 22nd week. She walked in 30 minutes late which has not happened before in this practice. She told me I was 20 weeks pregnant to which I had to correct her that I was 22, said she was going to check my blood in three months and was unaware that my blood needs to be tested every four weeks (again I had to correct her). When I told her I had a bunch of questions (this is my first pregnancy) she rushed me through them and made me feel as if they were stupid and not worth her time. She was rude and uninformed/unprepared about me as a patient. I am terrified that she will be the one to deliver my baby.

The staff at the Jackson office are great, and so far I have only met with Doctor Gumnic who is wonderful and helpful and kind. However Doctor Carlo has 100% turned me off and I am going to request not to see her again.

I have to agree with the other reviews. I went to Dr. Carlo pregnant a few years ago. It was my first pregnancy and she rushed through my first appointment. I could barely get in any questions all she kept saying was for me to read the paperwork she gave me. I felt completely rushed. I decided to terminate the pregnancy weeks later and I told her about it. I was In a bad place at the time and it was something I decided to regretfully do at that time. I came back a year later pregnant again, with every intention on keeping the pregnancy, she not only remembered me, but judged me from the moment she saw me. I heard her talking about me to the medical assistants in the office hallway. Not only did I find that completely unprofessional but isn't that against doctor patient privelage? I was so uncomfortable, that I reported her to another doctor at the practice although I never heard of anything was said. I will not go to that practice anymore because of this doctor. She is extremely rude, has poor bedside manner and quite honestly comes off very snobby. Not what I need in an OBGYN. Sad too because the rest of the doctors there are very nice.

PLEASE NOTE: This review does not speak to Dr. Carlo's medical expertise, as I never got to have my appointment with her. But it does speak to the practice at which she works, and is something patients should be aware of: I had been a patient at MCA a few years ago when I was living in the Wall area, and had good experiences there back then; so recently, having moved back to NJ, I made an appointment for my annual exam. I went to their website, checked to make sure my insurance was accepted, then proceeded to make an appointment through the online service they claimed to use, ZocDoc. I filled out all the information requested, even a pre-visit "check in," and received no phone call from MCA to say that anything was wrong with my online paperwork or insurance--only the automated call confirming my appointment. Upon arriving today, however--and after driving an hour to get to their location--I was informed that they actually do not take my insurance nor do they utilize any of the information posted to ZocDoc, despite what their website says, and my appointment would have to be canceled. No offer to make another appointment, no apology for the misinformation on their website. I was offended and felt quite disrespected, and now highly discourage anyone from utilizing the services of such an inconsiderate practice. I realize this doesn't speak to their doctors; but as insurance is such a major issue when dealing with appointments, I would not feel comfortable recommending a place that handles the issue so carelessly.

Went to this practice because it's right in my town. My regular doctor joined a practice in brick and I didn't want to drive that far. I am 50 and had some concerns and questions. She made me feel uncomfortable and stupid. I found her to be uncaring and unpleasant. I was upset for days. I am going back to my regular doctor in a few weeks even though I will be paying out of pocket for a 2nd annual. Will never go back to that practice.

I am a physician and had a routine OB visit with her. I told her that I had nearly fainted and she brushed it off as normal, did not check my glucose and barely listened to my concerns. As a physician I would not refer this doctor to anyone. She was so rushed and came off as being careless and unhelpful. I don't trust her medical knowledge and this one brief interaction has caused me to change practices completely even though I really like Dr. Walsh, I don't want to take the risk of going into labor when this bad practitioner might be on call. Seriously terrible.

There offices are awful. I have yet to go to an appointment where I didn't wait at least 30 minutes to an hour. Then they rush you out the door.
