I highly recommend Dr. Shaw and his staff. They take great care of their patients and keep their best interests in mind. Dr Shaw really helped me out when I lost insurance and was in a tough money situation. He took my circumstances and the help of my son and made a plan. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Shaw and his staff are amazing. He has completed orthodontic treatment with all of my children. My children never complained about the service or staff. They would look forward to each visit. Dr. Shaw is very friendly and he always made my children feel very welcome and they now have beautiful smiles. Well worth it. Highly recommended !!!!

After being patients for 15 yrs & having braces on 5 people in our family, we are leaving his office extremely unhappy. We're very disappointed in the orthodontic outcome of both adults & 2 of our kids. After meeting with another orthodontist, we've discovered despite phase 1 treatment, my teenage son's retainer was removed too early which caused SERIOUS crowding issues. Also, my teeth are still misaligned despite recently completed treatment. To make matters worse, our family finances were devastated by a life threatening illness & I thought after 15 years with his office & over $20k in treatment,he would be a bit more patient about receiving the last $1400 we owed. I was wrong - they sent us to collection anyway despite making several payments which added another $700+ in fees to our bill. Regrettably, I've had people over the years tell me they'd had bad experiences at his office, but I trusted that he was doing the best for my family. Apparently I was mistaken.

We give Dr. Shaw very high ratings. Our last two children have been going to him and have encountered more problems than we had all expected. Dr. Shaw works hard on correcting the problems even though it has gone well beyond the time expected. He has been excellent about answering questions and giving recommendations. His staff is outstanding.

Dr. Shaw failed to discuss all available options regarding retainers. His failure to discuss options will cost me at least an additional $2,000. I am looking for a new orthodontist because I do not want to give him any more of my money. When I went to discuss my dissatisfaction with my son's teeth movement, he agreed that these options should have been discussed, however, he is unwilling to correct the mistake without an additional $2,000. It seems his choice and not discussing options makes him more money. He did not answer my questions and I was a bit shocked that he flat out said he "didn't know which teeth had moved";he calls himself a specialist in orthodontics and could not answer a basic question. Dr. Shaw is unwilling to take responsibility for his mistakes and correct them and seems more concerned about money than the people he serves.
