Dr.Tolia is a good doctor in my opinion. The problems at the office are generally directly related to the staff. They can be very unprofessional and unkind. This reason alone makes me want to seek another doctor.

If you need a pill for any type of pain then he is truley the doctor for you, but if you want to resolve your medical issues do not go to this doctor. The other issue I have is with his office staff. What a bunch of two-faced bi$@#^!. The talk about patients who were waiting before you, they are very rude, and they do not send medical records you need when you request them. Save your self and do not go to this doctor.

The staff is not the friendliest, of staff, And the waiting room is ALWAYS Filled with "Strange" People ? And Usually Extremely IRRITATED patients at that, He is ALWAYS Behind by at least an hour, and he seems to think EVERY Ailment you have needs to be treated with a PILL! If you want to figure out what is wrong with you AVOID Him at all cost !! If you are just looking for a prescription then hes your Doc ? Sad But I am worried he may be over medicating or wrongly medicating Fragile patients who suffer with serious mental conditions, who TRULY Need GOOD Care !! Just be careful Not the most professional!!

Now READ THIS carefully. Dr. Tolia is an excellent doctor if you have known disorders and diseases such as MS, Parkinsons, Seizures, etc. He is great at treating migraines. I would not recommend him as a research Neurologist. He has many patients. If your problem is complicated he will refer you to tests other local Neurologists may have missed, but he will refer you elsewhere. He is not good with emotions. He does take the time to listen, but yes, there is not much debating in his decisions or how he sees things. But, then again, you are not a doctor. Very few people know a lot about medical fact that are not schooled for it. Out of the 4 Neurologists I saw, he was the best. I am a medical mystery. In conclusion, go to him for migraines or other well known disorders. Do not go to him if you are bipolar. It is not an emotion friendly or sympathetic environment. Though, I do give props to the staff for adjusting to my issues. Esp. the one who comforted me before I left.

The worst doctor ever...Acts like he knows but really does not, so you better research or else he will get you with fraud. Bills insurance companies with inaccurate procedures to make money$$$ so check insurance with what procedures were provided all the time so you don't get scammed. He is horrible at getting to the root of the problem. Please find another doctor who is more knowledgeable and don't waste time, becuase time is precious when you need to get help. His diagnosis changes frequently and again just wants money.

I've been going to Dr. Tolia for over 12 years and he really seems to care and he does want to find out what is wrong with his patients. I was in a car accident and started having seizures after hitting my head. He put me on medicine and I had a VNS implant and I have been seizure free for over 2 years. Thanks to him.
