Doctor Duffy is rude and frankly dismissive to my digestive issue. I lost 20 lbs in 30 days and couldn’t early more than 200 calories a day… but according to him I just need to take more acid reflux medication. Which didn’t resolve the issue. Went to another doctor. Avoid him at all costs and the staff there isn’t much better.

This doctor was the rudest and most disrespectful doctor I have spoken with in years. He doesn’t listen and has a disrespectful tone! I have been on a stomach acid controller for over 20 years. After my conversation with this “Dr. “I realized it was time for an alternative method of treatment. I have currently had three sessions Acupuncture & not taken one in over a week. I can drink a BOTTLE of water at one time without getting sick nauseous now where I could not even drink a sip of water without getting sick prior to Acupuncture! I had no idea there was a permanent cure but according to my acupuncturist it IS! I’ve been attending sessions at Acupuncture & Massage Center, 2565 S. Rochester Road, Rochester, MI. Grace has helped me with GREATLY With my arthritis, back pain, knee pain and my daughters inflammatory condition but had no idea I suffered from acid reflux as well. Grace is the BEST doctor I see now & is NEVER rude!

Dr. Duffy has treated my brother in law for 11 years. His bedside manner is wonderful, caring, compassionate, and thorough. He has seen him through life-saving treatments working closely with other Beaumont doctors when issues came up outside of his specialty. Following his instructions has given my brother in law extended life and many more years to come!

Worst doctor I have ever seen. Terrible bedside manner. Had upper R quadrant abdominal pain and decided it's okay to do a rectal exam. I was completely uncomfortable. Then just gives me reflux medicine and told me to take that for 5 weeks. I come back and he doesn't even read my chart which would have showed to him I wasn't any better and have gained 5lbs in 5 weeks which isn't normal for me. Again blows it off and says I need an upper GI....I now have asked several times for a HIDA scan believing this is my gallbladder secondary to the awful pain going to my back and on my right side and he LAUGHS and says "that is a bogus procedure...anyone can come out with a false positive".....I went elsewhere and 4.5 months later guess what--I need my gallbladder out.

Saw him for years and he always had a different answer to what is wrong with me, and never helped me. I kept ending up in the hospital over and over.

Really terrific doctor. Took the time to listen and figure out the problem. The doctor and office staff were both very friendly and helpful.

Had a crohns flare-up and Dr. Duffy was not helpful. Seemed more interested in me making an appointment (with no results) until I finally I suggested a px change (not the Dr.) Would not recommend.

I had gone to Dr Duffy for GERD and was satisfied with the results. However I went to see him with horrible stomach pains and saw his PA and she said it sounded like Gallbladder but the Dr would determine it. He had me tested and the Gallbladder was inflamed, but he said i could find other Dr's who would do surgery but he didn't think it needed to come out.My internist told me to get a 2nd opinion. I went to another Dr. and he said I had to have it removed from the results of my tests. I had the Gallbladder removed and have not had any pain since. I don't recommend Dr Duffy

Ive called the Medical assistants and it took several more calls (leaving messages) and over a WEEK for anyone to get back to me and this was when I was having a medical problem. Dr. Duffy himself is very overworked, too busy with his "colonoscopy mill" they have going there and doesnt seem to remember what he tells you from visit to visit. When I persisted in asking questions he got up and said "follow me.." and took me right to be checked out. He was apparently DONE with me. I was an existing patient however because I hadnt been there in 2 years they charged me as a new patient again and charged me over $200 for a little over an 8 minute visit in which I was basically dismissed. I will be seeking a new gastro doc. Years ago I was told by Dr Duffy to wait until they perfected a certain type of surgery to help out my GERD. Now several years later he tells me that wont work and looks at me disapprovingly because of the increased amount of nexium he has me taking. See someone else.
