I had the absolute worst experience with Dr. Cham. He has horrible bedside manner and tried to stitch me without any freezing. When I cried in pain, he yelled at me!!!

When I was in labour in hospital, my doctor (or rather the one filling in rotation for mine) called Dr. Cham in to assist him- Dr. Cham took over from there and I'm glad he did. I was quite high on laughing gas and quite out of it, but my husband really liked how he handled things. After pushing for about 45 minutes (which, from what I remember, he was very encouraging and helpful during), he explained that baby's head was getting squished too much and we needed to get him out ASAP. He said he could try to assist naturally, or we could do emergency c-section. I asked which was safest for baby and he said because time was a factor and assisting could still end with csection, he recommended csection. He did an excellent job with the stitching, and he had pediatrician/several nurses waiting just in case-good thing, as baby was flatlined at birth and required resuscitation. He followed up every day I was there , and 6 weeks after. Very friendly, easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

Worst bedside manner imaginable. Not someone you want to be around when you're in labor.

I did not have a good experience at all with Dr. Cham. I found him horribly rough and snappy. He was not my original OBGYN. This was my third natural birth with no drugs, and my regular OBGYN suggested I be induced as I tend to have my babies within 10 minutes of my water breaking (and I do not live close to the hospital). Dr. Cham clearly said he did not agree with my own doctor, and that "no one" gives birth that quick. I was persistent on continuing with the induction, and am very glad because my third child was born 8 minutes after my water broke. It seemed like he had something personal against my OBGYN, and I just happened to be his outlet. Had this child been my first child, I would have probably not had any more- that's how traumatizing this was for me.

Dr. Cham performed my hysterectomy last year and was absolutely fabulous. He always provided me with the information to make my own choice as to whether/when to have the surgery. His "sewing" skills are beyond compare and his bedside manner is professional and caring. I am probably close to 20 years old than he is and never once felt as though he wasn't perfectly capable. He will be missed in Fredericton.

Dr.Cham delivered my baby girl by emergency C Section. He respected my desire to have her the normal way as long as possible, which still means so much to me. He followed up with me in the hospital and was professional and kind. He is everything you would want in an OB. He respected my intelligence and I felt he valued my input every step of the way. The nurses use to fight to change my dressing so they could see what an amazing job he did. I am thrilled I had Dr.Cham for delivery.

Dr. Cham was my obstetrician during my pregnancy and followed up with me in the hospital when I became sick with an infection following a c-section. Although I quite appreciated Dr. Cham during my regular visits while pregnant, I was quite disappointed in his lack of bedside manner while I was in the hospital. He was not overly receptive to questions or my concern while I was sick in the hospital and was quite rushed to leave after seeing me daily. He provided me with little information regarding my infection and follow up and left it to the nurses to advise me of seeing specialists or further tests that were required. I believe Dr. Cham to be a good and knowledgeable dr. however felt he was too rushed and busy to provide me with a little information and reassurance regarding my condition.

Dr Cham was amazing. I was hoping to get him again this time for my pregnancy but didn't. He was the only Dr, after I seen 2 others, to diagnose me correctly as I became ill at the end of my first pregnancy. Resulting in an emergency C section. He was there at the hospital every day checking on me and wanted me to go to him for my 6 week eval as he wanted to see this through. Really wished I got him again.

Dr. Cham delivered my daughter with ease and confidence. He made me feel so comfortable. His bedside manner is great and his knowledge is top notch. If you have the chance to be one of his patients, consider yourself lucky.

Dr Cham performed an emergency C Section to deliver my son and was the most confident and friendly doctor I have ever met. We had many serious question which had to be answered quickly and he was able to put our minds to rest and prep us for the surgery. Even came in the next morning off his shift and check on us. Awesome Doctor! If you ever have a chance to get him as your Doctor snatch it. You will not regret it.
