BEWARE!!! I spend almost $1500. and travelled from Newmarket to Markham over 10 times. I had a shoulder problem. The extent of the "therapy" was machines, which led to NO PROGRESS. Robert McDonald NEVER asked about my condition. He would only make "small talk" about the past or upcoming weekend!!! There was NO discussion of a treatment plan or my progress. I should have figured it out sooner. My condition is resolved now after only 5 physio treatments!

I have been seeing Dr. McDonald for a few years. Some problems I had had for years are now non existent. Ongoing problems are under control. He has such a vast knowledge of medicine and contacts with doctors around the world, always sharing and learning. I don't know how I would have survived without his help and huge knowledge base. I still see him regularly to keep balanced and address any new symptoms. Getting old does require more work and commitment. LOL

I really hate to be writing this review but I need somewhere to write my story. I saw Robert over the years many times for various health issues. At first it was really just to do anything I could do to help my condition because doctors couldn’t. He listened and was somewhat helpful but a bit of a know if all. In December 2017 he destroyed my life with his God complex and his negligence. I was seeing him at the time for some back pain issues. Someone else did the work he prescribed and then he would come into the room to do whatever at the end of treatment. On this particular day he told me something was out of alignment in my pelvis and he was going to go into my jaw to fix it. I have had a chiro manipulate my TMJ before and have been left in pain for weeks from it so I questioned why he needed to go in my jaw and that I wasn’t really comfortable. He continued putting on his gloves and explained what he was doing was not a chiro adjustment. He did whatever. My jaw immediately felt hot. I paid and as I drove home the pain spread horrifically and the area around my ear was red. I had never experienced this level of pain before in my life. I tried to tell my self this would calm down in a couple of weeks but during that time I bit into something and the pain already at a 10 went even higher. I’ve lost all feeling in my jaw and teeth with horrific nerve pain. Drs don’t know what to do for me. I’ve lost my ability to chew. I eat like cat now and spend most days wanting to kill myself. When I confronted him he said he barely touched me and because of my complex health issues that something else must be at play here. I went into the clinic that day with no jaw pain and left a mess. I never gave him permission to mess around in my jaw. I was there for back pain. My life is ruined. I did go back to the clinic in summer 2018 to see if he could help me out but alas he could not and after breaking me he still wanted me to spend $100 per visit to help me. I see another review on here that he damaged someone else. This is beyond comprehension. I am a shell of my former self due to this man. My kids see me cry every day I will never enjoy food or life again because of him. I literally want to die from the pain I’m in every day. There was never permission for him to go into my jaw never. My hesitation should have been enough for him to stop and ask - Do you want me to adjust your jaw? Instead my questions were pushed aside, I was made to feel like my fears were unrealistic and he did what he pleased. You know who this is Robert and you destroyed my life, I hope you live with the guilt like I live with the pain for the rest of your life. Stop thinking you know everything and listen to your patients. You ruined me and if I die and my kids grow up without a mom - it’s on you.

He brought me back to reality after a concussion. I dont know what I would have done without him. He saw what all of the doctors missed and he fixed it.

Seen this doctor and referred to him thru a family member for the vertigo and anxiety I was suffering from----he did some acupuncture on my head and never even let me know or explained what he was about to do...also did micro current and placed the electrodes on my kneck and stomach,I have since suffered severe nerve pain in my head and am on lifetime medication to control this,I left his clinic bleeding from the acupuncture needle as well,I will forever be changed because of his negligence!

Dr. McDonald has solved every single health issue I've taken to him. He noticed my thyroid was low, and after a few months of herbs, it actually kickstarted functionality again so I was able to avoid having to take life long drugs instead. That was HUGE!
Also solved other issues like chronic vaginosis very quickly and permanently (despite having seen gynaecologists who couldn't help me at all).
He even pin-pointed my sons' rashes. They kept spreading it back and forth to each other. Other doctors just gave them cortisone cream which did nothing. Dr. McDonald actually pulled out a magnifying glass and inquired about the way the rash behaved (better or worse after baths etc.).
Finally, he was able to help 'lift' my bladder again, after having children. No longer feel the urge to run to the bathroom frequently.
Dr. McDonald has solved anything and everything we've thrown at him, using various approaches. He is wholistic in all ways, considering emotional stresses as well (understanding emotions trigger organ function also). We really can't say enough amazing things about him. If you have ANY health concerns, you may be surprised to find out how he can help!

I went to Dr. McDonald as I was suffering from dermatitis. I had gone to several doctors including a dermatologist who prescribed nothing but cortisone. Dr. McDonald took his time to evaluate my condition (the derm gave me a total of 5 minutes and then a script) and decided on a course of action. It worked and helped my condition.

It is easy to dump on a medical doctor when something does not work so I want to couch my words regarding this derm. However, I would recommend Dr McDonald as he actually takes the time to investigate your condition before offering a treatment.

I was treated by Rob McDonald for severe tendon pain in my elbows as a result of a repetitive strain injury. He used a combination of Shockwave, Accupuncture, laser, and ultrasound therapies. I had a series of 12 sessions over a course of 8 weeks. This was followed by 8 weeks of limited use of my arms for lifting heavy objects. The results was exceptional. The therapies that he used reduced the scar tissue on the tendons quite dramatically. The pain was completely gone after the 8 week period. I highly recommend Robert for any physical alment. His multi-disiplined approach to healing, combined with the latest medical technology, is wxtremely effective.
