I have been going to Dr Nelson since 2003. Was very satisfied until last November when he talked me into a crown on tooth #15. He shouldn't be working on that tooth at all. Long story short, first crown broke after two days. Had to come in next day to have one of the other Dr fill the break, it was Nelson's day off. A week later another temporary crown,next week permanent crown that did not fit properly. Nelson didn't even look at the second crown, told me over the phone I needed a root canal. During this process he a filling in tooth #14 and#13 at the same time of the first crown. All the work damaged toot#14 so another dentist had to do another crown that Nelson had already put two fillings in that in 2018 already. Crown on #14 didn't fix the problem Nelson created so another root canal. A year later and $9000 in dental work my teeth are still messed up and will probably spend a lot of money and time this winter fixing his crappy work. I went in for a cleaning las year and that is what happened after he got greedy and did unnecessary work. Shame on him,stay away.

This place has changed so much where did everyone go... It’s like your in a Dentist Office now scary. No one even cares anymore! You care just about money it’s not about your patients it’s the dollar and how much you can take out of my pocket book don’t go there horrible.

Dr. Nelson is so knowledgeable and patient. Just love him! Been going there for 2 years now. Don't like his receptionists. The one called Trina was very rude, sarcastic and was whining about the hygienists the whole time I was waiting. She is in the wrong job. Guess there is one in every office. Otherwise, the office is great!

Soooo happy with what dr Nelson did! never thought I could have such a beautiful smile! He is so nice and knowledgeable in his profession and you can tell he loves what he does and genuinely cares about his patients! can't believe we have this good of a dentist right here in South Dakota!

Very pleased with my visit! New to town and haven't seen a dentist in awhile so I was nervous to come in here and see what they had to say! They were so nice and I have sensitive gums and Dr. Nelson was so gentle and kind and treated me great! Not only is Dr. Nelson the best his staff is amazing too! all very nice and informative and didn't make me feel bad for not seeing a dentist in forever!

Terrified my five year old and drugged him up ro do the procedure that they ended up refusing to do!!!!rude staff had the nerve to tell me not to come back.

worst receptionist-very rude and whispering the whole time. I noticed they all go out to smoke at some point, very unprofessional and tacky. Dentist was okay I guess but get some real help in there.

I am amazed by this office from the moment you walk in the girls in the front are truly the best in South Dakota they are very friendly and Helpful. The way Dr. Nelson runs this office reflects his true love of great Dentistry. He is a great Dentist and I am so happy I found this office. Rapid City is a very lucky City.

Dr. Nelson is by far the best dentist I have ever come upon and I have moved around a lot. He is the most caring and knowledgeable dentist I have met. He never does unnecessary work and always does a great job at the work he does do. His staff is always friendly and presents a very welcoming atmosphere! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone and I will never see another dentist again! If I move, I will fly back to see him!
