Doctor shorr was completely unprofessional! He did not have my CT scan so I asked him if we could reschedule my appointment because he only had half the information. He said absolutely no. So I actually begged him because it was going to be a waste of his time and mine and I knew he was going to be expensive. I asked him if the CT scan would be important and he cut me off in the middle of my sentence and said he will ask the questions because He is the DR. He caught me so off guard that I started crying. I am a 40 year old woman and I dont cry easily. He was a terrible, condescending, arrogant, rude, disrespectful, man. He barely did any tests on me. I was crying the entire time. I forgot all the questions I wanted to ask him. It was a complete waste of time. I can not believe he would not agree to just let me make another appointment with him for a future time. I saw him in Santa Clarita but he didn't Have the appropriate hardware to download my CT scan from the CD. really?!?!?

I had been working with Dr. Shorr and his staff for more than 3 months to get a referral. After numerous phone calls to his office I found out there was no note in my file about any referral despite Dr. Shorr looking me in the eye and saying I'd have my referral within days when I initially visited with him. No kidding: no referral after 3 months of waiting and several conversations with his office. Sorely unprofessional. Dr. Shorr has kind of a George Hamilton look going with shock-white hair and perpetual tan and a Hollywood ego to match. My best advice is to avoid.

Like the other reviewer, I found him extremely condescending and arrogant. He barely let me finish a sentence and often cut me off when I tried to dialogue with him. He had no interest in my description of my symptoms and gave me an instant diagnosis without performing substantial tests and without looking at my medical history. I don't believe drugs are always the answer, but like the other reviewer, found him quick to advise drug use. Again, like the other reviewer, it was antidepressants. After a good amount of internet research I have found that medical studies show antidepressants do not help any more than placebos for adults and children for a myriad of symptoms doctors prescribe them for. It's upsetting to learn this after having this physician jump so quickly to advising antidepressent use for neurological (and not psychological) complaint. Oh yeah, and his staffed also screamed at me. How pleasant.

Dr. Shorr's offices in Encino and Lancaster have always been very prompt and professional. If I had to wait an additional minute the office staff made sure I was comfortable. When seeing Dr. Shorr he listened to me and expedited the necessary treatment available at that time. I knew I was always in good hands and trusted his judgment.

Dr Shorr was very unprofesssional and rude. I went to him for daily worsening headaches, right arm/hand numbness, episodes of tunnel vision, and dizzy spells. He suggested a nerve stimulation test (cost $1000.00)which was performed by his nurse during my visit. She informed me after the test was complete that "I did not have carpel tunnel". I was not aware that I was being tested for this or I would have refused based on my symptoms. He told me that although "I probably wouldn't be happy unless he did a brain scan" he felt that I was experiencing simple headaches. He wrote me a presciption for anti-depressants and sent me on my way. When I told my primary care what had taken place, she ordered an MRI and it showed that I had a herniated disc in my neck that was compressing my spinal cord and required surgical intervention immediately. I would NOT recommend Dr Shorr to anyone! Had I followed his plan of care I would have suffered permanent nerve damage.
