They like to burn everything off your body. He did this to my husband and wanted to do this to me too.I am very glad I was uncofortable with his quick dioqnosis.I told him I'll have to come back another time. However my poor husband, trusting the good doctor, burned him many many times. His office and his equipments are dirty. He will scare you and burn you. Stay away! You can do much better.

I saw this doc re: a simple viral wart on my palm, and the other, something he described to me as "arthritis of the skin??" which comes back every now and then and when people ask what it is, that's all I can answer with. Anyway, he sat me down, I was 18 at the time, and stuck me like a pin cushion about 15 times in a 2cm x 2cm area on my arm, injecting steroids. That wracked my nerves a bit as he roughly wiped the blood away, but I said nothing, and neither did he. Then he continued to freeze my wart and told me to come back in a few weeks. I had to come back twice b/c the cryo therapy didn't work. On the 3rd visit, he told me he was going to use a "special treatment" which was basically just freezing the wart for much longer, and he handed me a paper on the study that his treatment was based on. It hurt like heck, but it worked, and I read the paper he gave me to learn that many participants quit the study due to pain. I now have a steroid tape - treats the 1st condition painlessly!

I do NOT recommend Dr. Golomb, like the other comments below, I too recieved numerous pamphlets w/ information -- on moles and skin cancer (all information was what I learned in High School researching melonoma; i didn't need his pamphlets, I needed him to tell me about my skin specifically). He removed 2 moles. I went back for my checkup after the lab results, one was "fine" and the other was "abnormal/irregular" so he removed all of the mole. This was 2 years ago and I still have a nickel-sized scar. He assured me it wasn't skin cancer, yet he scarred me for life.. literally.. (I read up on how mole removal surgery is supposed to go & I seriously doubt he did it correctly.) .. after all this was done, he asked me if i had any other skin concerns.. I said no.. and he looked at me saying, "really? what about your acne i see" (pointing at my face).. I persisted to say no (I think most 20 yr olds have acne).. stay away from him.. you'll be scarred.

Dr. Golomb is brilliant. I have gone to him for many years and now my husband goes to him as well. Sometimes you have to wait in a waiting room for good healthcare. It's worth the wait. His nurses are very kind and they always remember me. If you want quality care from someone who has been in the field and knows what he is doing Dr. G is the Dr. for you.

I just discovered this site, but was so unimpressed with my visit to Dr. Golomb several years ago that I thought I'd share. I went in because I was concerned about a white patch of skin on my face. I waited for a ridiculously long time for him to come in, and when he did he didn't even greet me or introduce himself. He diagnosed me with vitiligo, an incurable and potentially disfiguring condition, held up a mirror and shone a fluorescent light on my face to show me "how bad it looked" under the light, and then acted surprised and somewhat disgusted when I started to cry. His consolation was to give me a huge pile of pamphlets rather than talking to me about the condition, prescribe some overpriced steroid cream (that didn't do a thing), and send me on my way. Needless to say, I never went back. Dr. Golomb had no bedside manner and was completely insensitive. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. golomb is an excellent dermatologist with years of experience. He generally treats on the same visit vs. doctors who reschedule costing you more money. People who complain about a long wait simply don't visist with doctors often enough. Patients all wait, esepecially with popular doctors. If you are looing for good looks personality and hand holding Dr. Golomb isn't your man. Try a dating service instead.

He knows a lot, but without asking he just took his nytrogen gun and started burning my freckles on my shoulders. He said "come back in 3 mths". But after seeing the bill, 1200 dlls for five minutes of "surgery", do you think I will be back? I had to pay 100 dlls because my insurance did not cover all of it. I believe the dr should ask the insurance before doing something else besides the consultation, in order to see if what he is planning to do is covered by the insurance. What if the insurance did not cover the procedure? I would have had to pay the 1200. Medicine should be humanitarian. I know they work for money, but this dr charged as if i would only be part of the business and not a patient. The other bad point was that he was not on time. If a patient is not on time, he/she miss the appointment and has to pay, but what if the dr is late? Do i get a discount for my time?

I waited forever, and when he finally got to me he took off a mole on my back, leaving a huge scar. He gave no instructions on caring for the area and when I went back for my check-up, he had me wait so long that I just left.

I waited over 2 hours for my appointment, so I was a bit grumpy to start. When he first came in, I was quite pleased both because the wait was over and because he immediately told me exactly what was wrong. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there. He started jabbing me with a needle of something without ever telling me what it was or why. (I still don't know.) He also gave me some very expensive prescriptions that WORSENED my rash. I'm looking for a second opinion now...

I was little underwelmed with Dr Golomb's examination. I suddenly had itchy skin rashes on my body and had suspected it to be from my cats (she had gotten fleas). But once her fleas were gone, my rashes still persisted. I had have the cats for years, and many pets throughout my life with no skin problems until now. Dr. Golomb ended up taking 2 biopsies in the worst places (right in the middle of my back and on my arm) and it left visible ugly scars. He was about to take another on my leg until I stopped him. He gave me some cream to put on it to relieve the itching. He suggested it was excema but I am still not sure about that. Weeks later I came back, the skin condition worsened (cream relieved it but did not stop it) and he just gave me stronger cream to use. I still continue to have skin issues and have not gone back since.. i have not gone to another dermatologist yet.. I am unsure of how to find a good one.
