Preformed a IME for the workman comp insurance company.
Total time of less than 12 minutes with him in his exam from start to out the door.
As a neurosurgeon by profession, it was very clear his knowledge of concussion and concussion syndrome were not up to date.
He focused on pushing on my hips and shoulders as I laid on the table.
His main area he looked into was my back....
He obviously is very uninformed of the realities of concussion and concussion syndrome.
He is no more than a hired gun for a insurance company.
Hope that $3k each IME is worth it.
Too bad that when you do the right thing you must deal down these roads.
Have a attorney and avoid this poor old man.

Ruined my life, my back is inoperable after the surgery he performed that ended up not fusing. Living with a non-union of L4-L5. After his "surgery", he told me to "move to a planet w/zero gravity, there is nothing more I can do for you". He also said "you can't keep coming back to me in pain". REALLY!!#

I cannot comment on staff, punctuality, but as far as knowledge goes, he really needs to stay out of doing IMEs for concussion. He's a neurosurgeon by training, and obviously is very uninformed of the realities of concussion and sequelae. If he is going to provide an medical opinion, cracking a textbook might be beneficial. I hope your $2k is worth destroying careers and lives. Unreal.

The previous post is correct. Dr. Burton performs IME's for insurance companies. In an IME report on my condition he wrote of pains that I NEVER had. He also quoted me as saying things I didn't say. He is senile and incoherent at times. He should no longer be allowed to practice medicine and I would advise all to go elsewhere.

Dr Burton performed an IME on behalf of my employer and their work comp insurance company. His office is in what seems to be a partially abandoned building? He pushed HARD on my hip 3 times even though I told him it hurt. I had to yell at at him to stop! I had a bruise on my arm and hip the next day. Then he almost forgot to even look at the neck scar I had until I pointed it out to him. He claims I didn't need disk fusion, but my headaches are gone so he should try living with that! He's retired but gets paid appr 3k to find probs for the insurance company. I know his stance on Dr's getting paid by medical device companies, but who is the better person? A Dr explaining how a device works to other Drs or a Dr making up problems to get paid 3k? To me thats unethical and defies what being a Dr is all about. He was rude, short and too old to even be driving. He didn't even get the IME report right. Said it was the other arm instead of the injured arm, mixed up info and it looked like he copied and pasted a lot of the info. He went as far back in my medical history 13 years!! All of the info had NOTHING to do about my current medical condition but he made sure the negative things were in the report. Just sad that a Dr can stoop to such a low level. I'm to the point that I don't trust Drs anymore. I've had a few experiences with bad ones, but my neck surgeon was great! Dr Amir Mehbod, Twin Cities Spine Center.

I had a genetic condition in my back that has required two surgeries. Dr Burton performed these and as a result I can competitively ballroom dance. He and his staff are the best. Thank you Dr. Burton

I chose a rating of 1 for helpfulness because my procedure had to be repaired by a different surgeon. I chose a 1 for knowledge because I heard a different surgeon say that cages and bone material had a poor success rate for fusing spines. 2009 - 1935 = 74 years old

Staff seem to be in disarray and unhelpful. They little regard for patients' time and schedule, yet he is rushed an unattentive in procedures.
