Dr has no regard or empathy for the elderly. If you are 80 or over he regards you as no one, won’t spend time ; doesn’t believe in tests and basically is negative abt your life expectancy. It was a horrible experience for my father

In a search of a new long- term doctor due to very conflicting diagnosis and approaches, I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kaner. Upon the first few minutes of the visit, I was abruptly advised that the staff was not supposed to allow me to schedule the visit and that he does not understand WHY I am coming to see him instead the other doctor. I offered to end the visit, since there was obviously some misunderstanding and I already felt very uncomfortable and humiliated by his approach. He decided to continue with the visit but was very clear with his attitude he had no interest in becoming my long term doctor. I wish I had stopped the visit then because it didn’t get much better after that. I will keep looking for a professional doctor who will have interest in getting my health restored and take into consideration that if many of the medications tried are not helping, perhaps the diagnosis is incomplete or incorrect and a different approach might be needed.

I was waiting dr. Kaner 30 min, and after 30 min register said: You need to pay first and continue wait. If doctor not respect patients time, I'm not respect him. I understand clinic making appointment every 5-10 min, to make more money, all about money and 0 respect patient time. Another best example of American service, need to wait everywhere.

I wouldn't go to any other gastroenterologist! He puts you at ease. No rushing. He cares! He's thorough. I left a message with his assistant and shortly thereafter he called me back himself! I highly recommend Dr. Kaner!

Dr. Kaner is very friendly, spending much time with his patients conversing, takes time to explain, makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend him. Because he does not rush, he does run late. I make appointments with him first thing in the morning. Otherwise, in the PM you can wait up to 2 hours which is ridiculous. His nurse is friendly; the person who makes procedure appointments is very sweet.

But the front desk person can be very off-putting. There was one person who was not friendly and you feel you're imposing on her. She needs to be counseled and if necessary moved someplace else. Your reception staff sets the tone for the appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaner's for many years . He is very professional and very knowledgeable doctor . He has a great bedside manner and he definitely makes you feel comfortable to talk to him. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who needs a great gastroenterologist. When my daughter needed a gastroenterologist, I thought of him first and only.

Did not call with results of tests. When I called, staff refused to give me results - I had to make another appt. I would not recommend.

I went with acid reflux and bowel problems. He seemed very uncomfortable when I talked about my bowel problem. He didn't want to do upper and lower scopes on the same day which is certainly more conveinent for the patient. After upper endoscopy, he did not speak with me at the surgery center and never called me with results leaving me very worried of course. Upon my next appt to get results, I was informed the referral had expired. His staff was not willing to help me resolve it by calling insurance co. to extend time limit. They also did not want to give me the results of the test until I told them how unethical that was to make me go thru test again somewhere else. The results stated esophagatitis but I was not given prescription. It's ALL about money, no conscious to do the right thing. I had to go to another GI doctor who said esophagatitis can lead to cancer if untreated and Dr Kaner should have given me advice and meds within days of the endoscopy since I was suffering.
