Dr. Greenawald needs professional help. I stayed with her as my neurologist for over a year, only because at the time my HMO offered no other choice. After many sessions with her I became more and more aware of the non-human, inflexible, cold and robotic methods she uses when trying to "help". Human qualities such as empathy, listening, kindness, flexibility, respectfulness and similar attributes do not exist in this person. I would NOT recommend this "person" to anyone.

Dr. Greenwald is agressive, rude, condescending. Here is my experience, mind you I've condensed it ALOT
We have been to her about 5 times, my husband had a Stroke about 14 years ago, he's now having new issues. At each appt. I was left feeling confused, upset and stupid, not only from her lack of bedside manner but because she never took the time to really talk to us. On the 5th visit I was very upset and I expressed to her that I didn't appreciate the way she treated us, her response was to escort us out of the office, as we reach the door she says to my husband "Sorry Michael to bad you don't have a wife that cares about you" I was shocked, I've NEVER been treated so poorly by any doctor in my life. I just wish I would of read the reviews before visiting her. So many of us, believe that doctors have our best interests at heart, this women does not.

I have a seizure disorder I was having seizures 2 to 3 times a weekmy old neurologist had spent so much time working on my seizures that he even spent his own money to fly back east to join a conference about seizures when he got back and I started a new medicine my seizures slowly drifted apart and now I am up to 3 to 4 months seizure free and have been that way for a couple years now I had to see Susan Greenwald because my old neurologist has retired I wasn't in her office more than 5 minutes and she told me my old neurologist is stupid for putting that much work in to figuring out my seizures and he's an idiot for putting me on this medicine I walked out of her office after about 10 minutes and told her how rude she was and that she really was disrespectful she is not even close to professionalI will never ever ever recommend her to anybody there are a lot of people the same comments as I do if you want to take your chances with her obviously that's your choicein my opinion nobody in this world should ever step foot in her office with how disrespectful she really is after walking out she tried to charge me with a full appointment and also threatened me with charging me more money for causing her office to pursue getting my money again nobody should be seeing this doctor hope this helps for anybody that is thinking about seeing this doctor

I actually was working in the local hospitalwhen I was referred to her by my PCP. I almost didn't go at all because of my experience with her through the hospital and the experiences of our patients and my co-workers with her. I should have listened to my first instinct. Total waste of time. She is convinced not another doctor on earth knows as much as she does, and that she owes it to everyone to make sure that they are made aware of this fact. She is one of the main reasons I left my HMO plan for a ppo so I can see any neurologist but her. Do whatever you can to see anyone but her. She is rude, uncaring, insulting and will not listen to anything she considers a waste of her time. Unfortunately, either her staff is equally rude and close-minded or miserable working with her. She was recruited because our area needs more neurologists not because she was a stellar doctor. Hopefully we can get a good neurologist or two so she can move on and torture another patient population.

She didn't listen. Her mind was made up before seeing me. She bullied the answers she wanted out of me. When examining me she twisted a very painful thumb and she hurt my neck too. When I told her I couldn't see how many fingers she was holding up, she said , yes you can! She dismissed everything I told her that came from other doctors and trashed all the local doctors. Who does she think she is? I couldn't get out of her office fast enough!

The doctot was on time and spent a full hour with me. I felt that she really heard me and am hopeful about my migraines which has been a problem my whole life.

Very condescending and rude and she has a bad rep in town. Others told me not to go see her but I went ahead anyways. She made me feel that my condition was my own fault and her receptionist Robin was as much of a rude and poor listener as the doctor - kept pronouncing my name wrong despite me politely correcting her, didn't help that she kept insisting that I don't have an appointment until she actually looked in the book. If at all possible, if your PCP refers you to her do whatever it takes to get them to change the referral.

Initially she doesn't have the best bedside manner and can seem cold and brusque, but she is knowledgeable. After a few visits over the year, she's kinda warmed up. I was diagnosed with MS after a series of tests. The woman is not warm and fuzzy, but she saved my life and I find her to be knowledgeable and supportive in her own way. If you're looking for a Dr. to just blindly prescribe you drugs that you want, better look elsewhere. If you can overlook her brusqueness, she is actually quite knowledgeable and does have a human side. The quality of my life has improved due to her help, and that's what matters to me most.
