Dr Wakefield is extremely knowledgeable/cares more for the patient and not the $$$. Always responds in a professional manner, takes the time for his patients and explains everything thoroughly. I could not ask for anyone better.

Prior patient who has had 12+ back surgeries with a recent re-injury: staff did not want to view x-ray film or film report and stated I should call prior neurosurgeon in St. Louis, MO! Not only was staff rude, they stated the Dr. would not look at the film or report and they would "only put it in my file". Please be aware in the event you choose this neurosurgeon for your own situation.

After waiting in a back brace for 3 months after an auto accident, the doctors office turned my injured husband away because he did not have a letter from the auto insurance company. They never asked for it previously, and could have had it faxed to them within minutes. My husband now has another month to wait until he even knows if his back has healed from fractures! The office staff is ruse and offers no help if your having trouble walking on crutches and caring x-rays. They act like you have bothered them. Looking for someone who will care about their patients.
