For the last 8 or so years, Dr. Munver has been my urologic surgeon for Kidney Stones, bladder stones and some very significant kidney infections.
After dozens upon dozens of urologic and abdominal surgeries, my anatomy isn't like that of other people... and "any good urologist" isn't good enough.
Dr. Munver is an extraordinary surgeon, however. Kind, patient, content to answer any questions from patient or family... I simply don't know where I would be were Dr. Munver not my surgeon.
His familiarity with cutting edge techniques is such that he travels around the country lecturing... and I want a surgeon who is as current as his or her most recent medical journal.

Lastly, although the office is quite busy, his staff is equally kind and accommodating. I cannot recommend Dr. Munver highly enough.

When I discovered a mass on my kidney, I wanted the best medical advice/treatment for the situation at hand. My Nephralogist researched the field and insisted I go to Dr. Munver. Not only was Dr. Munver the best choice for the surgical skills required (minimally invasive robotic urology surgery), his experience in the field and surgical techniques allowed me to surmount some unexpected complexities and save my kidney. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer early this year, and after thorough research and consultations, I had selected Dr. Munver as my surgeon. He had spent a considerable time to explain all available options and his recommendation. Based on my discussions with Dr. Munver, I had opted for robotic prostatectomy, which was performed at HUMC about three weeks ago. I am recovering well and returning to work in next two days. I am truly grateful to Dr. Munver!

Dr. Munver has excellent staff, and I was also pleased with my experience at HUMC. Dr. Munver is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, compassionate, skilled surgeon, and pays attention to details. I would highly recommend Dr. Munver to anyone!

Dr. Munver was brought in at short notice to lead the surgical team focusing on my suddenly-diagnosed kidney issue. Dr. Munver immediately engaged, made sure I had a surgical slot, engaged with me directly in a long, caring conversation on a weekend, performed the surgery, and engaged in follow up. Throughout the process, Dr. Munver was clear, consultative, and kind. He engaged with me directly and through his highly competent team.

In addition -- The entire hospital experience was great due to the highly competent and caring staff. They conducted their regular responsibilities well, and went the extra step when I had painful episode.

After learning I had a malignant growth blocking my Ureter I started looking for the best Surgeon and Facility I could find. I heard HackensackUMC is an advanced hospital. On their website I found a video by Dr. Munver describing their minimally invasive surgical procedures (laser & robotic surgery). Dr. Munver instilled much confidence for me in him and his team. Simply put, Dr Ravi Munver, a highly skilled surgeon, extended my life by removing my cancerous prostate with laparoscopic, robotic surgery in Jan. 2018. At the initial consult Dr Munver's relaxed, outgoing, personable manner put me immediately at ease. I found Dr.Munver because I needed a second opinion. My family doctor had heard that Hackensack had a "kick-***" urology group. My neighbor also had Dr.Munver as his surgeon. Do not let the process deter you. Dr.Munver and his staff make sure that all bases are covered. You want a surgeon who spends most of their time doing surgery. Dr.Munver is that rare surgeon who is both skilled and compassionate.
