My partner and I tried to conceive for almost 8 years through another St. Louis Fertility center (that I won't name)without success, it wasn't until we met with Dr. Simckes that we were able to make our dream a reality. Upon first meeting Dr. Simckes, we loved him right away. He is very straight forward & didn't beat around the bush, talked to us like we were people and not just patients and didn't use much of a filter (which we loved). Let me clarify the filter part; he spoke to us like we were real people, he may have said a cuss word here or there, which made us comfortable because it meant that he was talking to us in a manner that made us comfortable and we didn't feel like he was putting on a front and trying to make himself look like an uppity doctor who was trying to sell himself. At that point, we WERE sold! After discussing our past efforts, we found out that some things our previous clinic had done were all wrong, I was even taking medication that I was not supposed to be on while trying to conceive, it was a category X drug. He explained all of our options, DID NOT try to push us in to anything, including IVF. We decided to try IUI (artificial insemination) one more time. All of the appointments were great, he was very helpful. Yes, he may have ran a little late, but name a doctor who doesn't! We were grateful for his help and didn't mind waiting, his help far outweighed the time spent on waiting. My partner chose to carry, since Dr. Simckes said it was a healthier choice since I am diabetic. She wound up ovulating on a Saturday night. We corresponded with Dr. Simckes, who was at a wedding reception that evening and he wound up meeting us at the office around 7:30pm for the insemination. It was great that he took the time to go out of his way for us instead of saying that he was off the clock! Bada bing......two weeks later, we found out that we were pregnant! He spent the next 10 weeks making sure the baby was doing well before sending us off to our OBGYN, making sure we could see and understand what was going on in the static screen of the ultrasound every time. We wound up having a beautiful, healthy little girl! We never felt like he was money hungry, he gave us options that were as affordable as possible and never rushed us in to IVF. He was upfront about his fees right away and did everything he could to save us money wherever possible. His sense of humor is fantastic (as long as you're not too uptight) and we really felt like he was involved in our whole experience and not just a doctor who got the job done! Needless to say, I would recommend Dr. Simckes to anyone having fertility issues.

I walked into Dr. Simckes' office 3 years ago at the age of 30 with tears in my eyes after being told by multiple doctors that I may never be able to have children. Dr. Simckes performed a laparoscopy and cleaned up all the Endometriosis that he could find and monitored me for the last 3 years. After the surgery he reassured me that my body was perfectly fit to have lots of babies and that all those other doctors were wrong. Back then I wasn't trying to get pregnant, I just wanted to make sure that one day I could. June of 2015 I married the love of my life and we started trying in July. It's December and I am 6 weeks pregnant!! Dr. Simckes got me in at 5 weeks to make sure that the pregnancy was very healthy and we went back a week later to hear the heart beat. He has been nothing but helpful and knowledgeable over the last 3 years. I would recommend him to anyone who is trying to get pregnant. If you have issues getting pregnant, he is totally your doctor. If you can get pregnant, he will make it happen.

LOVE Dr. Simckes and his staff! They take a stressful situation and make you feel at ease. Because of Dr. S., I found out I had PCOS. We fixed the problem and I went on to have an amazing pregnancy with my daughter. Four years later we walked back into Fertility Partnership....three months later I am pregnant. With twins! My husband and I wanted to have kids and Dr. Simckes made that possible. Can't say enough wonderful things about him and the girls that work for him.

I read the comments below. One thing I want to add is he does NOT push IVF. I went to Sher Institute and after only a semen analysis on my husband I got a call THE NEXT DAY to set up IVF. Our experience at Fertility Partnership has never been about money. If anything they do everything they can to SAVE the patient money. His office keeping their prices down is the only reason this teacher and her security guard husband were able to pay for fertility treatments.

I saw Dr. Simckes after 1 year of trying to get pregnant without success. He gave me an exam and blood work. He also tested my husband. He said our exams & test results were normal. He recommended a dye test to see if any

block

my tubes were blocked, but they were fine too. Dr. Simckes told me to go home and try again and if I didn't get pregnant in 2 months he would recommend IUI. A little bit over a month after the dye test we got pregnant just like he said! He didn't try to push us into IVF. He's a thorough and trustworthy doctor.

He determined that my body is making too much testosterone which in turn is causing my lining to not be thick enough to support a pregnancy. I asked him for something to make my lining thick enough. His answer verbatim, Iwill give you something to thicken your lining when you do ivf. That is all he is interested in. IVF should be a last ditch effort, not a doctors go to remedy.

We live about 3 hours away from Dr. Simckes office. He has Saturday hours for patients like me who are not able to come in during the week. My husband works odd shifts so weekday appointments are impossible unless we call off work. We thought his office was beautiful and Dr. Simckes and his staff were very friendly and funny too. We had a comprehensive visit complete with labs and exams for both me and my husband. We are looking forward to beginning a treatment cycle with him. We could not ask for a better experience. We'd recommend him to anyone.

We went to him three years ago when I needed a fibroid removed. He perfomed another surgery to open my tubes because the fibroid was so big it pinched them like a garden hose. After that, my menstral cycle changed and he told me my dhea level was characteristic of pcos even though a pcos panel was negative. I have hirsutism and a thin uterine lining, both of which he will not address. He just wants to jump straight to ivf, saying that the hormones I will take will thicken my lining, but he won't try thickening my lining with pills or creams. I began to feel like a dollar sign. He is never in the office past 2:30 and unless your appointment is early enough in the day or the office happens to be slow, he will rush through your appointment. As he leaves the exam room, he finishes the conversation with the door open, which is a hipaa violation.

We tried laparoscopy and months of failed monitored cycles. We felt that we were paying so much for meds and controlled ovulation induction, but he would never adjust the meds and wasn't very aggressive in his efforts. I feel like he is very knowledgeable, but he is extremely unorganized. He's never punctual and would often make decisions without clarification. Our wait time has often been hours on any given day and when he did finally come rushing in, he would only stay a short while and always needed to read over the chart again to remember who we were! He was even more than an hour late to surgery! If it weren't for his personality, I would have given him a much lower score. Needless to say, we are now at a different facility.

We just love Dr Simckes and his staff. We were told we needed IVF and no one offered us an alternative. Dr Simckes also offered IVF as first choice it said it was "moral and ethical to offer" alternatives if that is our desire. As a result he performed the surgery on my tubes and I conceived and delivered a baby. I understand that the odds were against us but he gave us a choice and we took it and it worked As a result he performed the surgery on my tubes and I conceived and delivered a baby. I understand that the odds were against us but he gave us a choice and we took it and it worked and I will always be grateful to him for that. I cannot recommend him enough. Go ahead and meet other doctors if you want but don't forget to interview him and his staff and you will be convinced
