Dr. Cook was recommended to me by my dermatologist here in Myrtle Beach. I had melanomas on my left cheek (face) which had been misdiagnosed by a dermatologist here in myrtle. I had my surgery on January 12, today is February 11 and it is hardly noticeable. He and his staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I hope I don’t have a reason to have to go back to him, but if the situation arises, I will certainly make the trip to Charleston.

This physician is very knowledgeable and gifted with Mohs surgery and reconstruction. He is also efficient with scar removal. He will always be my go to dermatological surgery needs.

Phenomenal staff, great nurses that made you feel relaxed and at ease. So professional with everything they did. As far as Dr. Cook there's none better, I don't know what to add to that, just the best.

Very good doctor. Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions.
If I had any complaints it would be I felt rushed at times.
Seems to me he books to many people at a time.
Overall I would recommend this doctor

Extremely arrogant. Spends little or no time with the patient and is offended if you question anything.

Dr Cook rebuilt my nose after removing my cancer. He was very professional and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate using him again. I recommend to anyone who needs this type of surgery. He is the best

Had I not had a previous mohs surgery with a different doctor (who made a completely invisible incision on my face) I would not have known that Dr Cook would do such trauma to my face. It has taken me three years to finally be able to write a review. Never again.

My first mohs required no laser, no steroid injections simply because my first mohs surgeon took the time to stitch it correctly the first time.

With Dr Cook some stitches fell out 2 days after surgery and the staff said it was normal. It was lasered and injected with steroids on 3 different occasions. Nothing will fix my lip that droops now and the ropey lumpy scar. How I wish I had known.

Dr. Cook is professional, personable and an artist as well as a brilliant surgeon. He is brilliant at Reconstruction and leaving a surgical area devoid of scaring and other ugly residual effects.

Dr Cook is a no nonsense kind of guy but I appreciated his candor. On the surface my skin cancer (melanoma) looked tiny on my cheek but below the surface it had spread like a big spider web. You can never tell by looking at it what lies beneath the surface. The incision was large but he did an amazing job pulling the skin together and stitching it as finely as possible. Dr Cook is a perfectionist and would not discharge me until the scar was barely visible. It’s taken three years of laser but his work was nothing short of a miracle…..and the best part is I’m cancer free! His waiting room is always packed and that’s for a good reason. He’s without a doubt the best.
