Dr. Bachus is great. You do feel that he's giving it his very best. His staff is something else. They range from being disorganized to rude and act as if you're expecting something extraordinary if you ask for options for appointment times, not just the first one they give you. You just have to deal with any crabbiness because the last person in you want to tick off is someone who's got your eggs and sperm.

I was amazed at Dr. Bachus and his staff right when I walked in the door. I felt no judgement or shame for being infertile, and I felt that staff was more kind for this. They can tell that most of the patients go through a lot of stress and emotion to be there. I am out of town so coming into the office for questions isn't possible so communicating through phone has been easy with them. When I need a blood test, they send the order right away to my hospital. Once, I had an emergency after hours and left a message for someone to call me back. Dr. Bachus called me back in less than five minutes to talk to me, calm me down, and give me the care I needed right away. My ultra-sound visits last less then fifteen minutes. When I had my HSG surgery with Dr. Bachus, he told me everything that was happening and made sure everything was okay. He and his PA's are very knowledgable on fertility, drugs, side effects, etc. His staff is knowledgeable of my insurance and bills me accordingly.

I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Bachus and decided to cancel due to cost. I really struggled with canceling the appointment, but finally did. I have to say I am glad I did because as soon as I called to cancel I got the feeling that staff was annoyed. I tried to explain why I needed to cancel, but got no response and then was told they were going to charge me to return my medical records...postage anyway. I now feel I made the right decision for me because how your staff treats patients or perspective patients is a good indication of the type of care they will recieve. Even if I don't care for the RE I meet with in April, I won't be going back to Dr. Bachus' office for this simple reason.

We *heart* Dr. Bachus. We have two beautiful reasons why he will always have a special place in our hearts, but aside from the children he helped us conceive, there is the fact that he is a wonderful man and doctor. When dealing with infertility, I talked with a lot of other women and came to realize that not every RE is as compassionate and professional as Dr. Bachus and his staff. I talked to many women who encountered cold reactions to negative betas and a complete lack of compassion for the emotions associated with infertility. Not at THIS office. They are caring, supportive and if they can help you create the family you've dreamed of, they'll do so.

Dr. Bachus is wonderful. He's knowledgeable and tells it like it is. He will not give you false hope but will work with you for a solution (if there can be one). His staff (billing) is a nightmare. I waited for close to 4.5 months for a refund and had to call continually. Finally I got a partial refund and then they said I had to get the rest from Blue Cross, even though they submitted the claim and lost BC's original check...
