I have been using Dr Herman's services for 20 years at this point (I have psoriasis) and I always found him to be attentive, friendly, caring and intelligent. His examinations have always been appropriate, he looks very closely at your condition, and offers free samples/coupon to help you out financially too! If you have a wait, he'll sincerely offer an apology. His staff is so friendly and sweet. Over the years having moved further up in Bergen County, making the trip to his Union City office such a chore, but I still would see Dr Herman rather than find a closer Dr, as I enjoy and respect him so much.

Most unprofessional and disrespectful professional I've ever came across. I had the worse experience..... I went for a consultation to treat my acne, he prescribed medication and adviced me to follow up in three month.... I went back four month after due to my busy schedule at work and school, and when I explained that I did not see significant results he got insulted and threw me out of his office. Litterally this man threw me out of his office. I was totally choked and embarrased..... I trully felt this was the worse experience ever.

I have seen Dr. Herman for the last 15 years or so. Through the years, I've had eczema, psoriasis, nail fungus, skin tags, a mole to be removed, etc. He is great! He explains everything super clear. He listens to all your questions. I never feel rushed. I have recommended him for years to everyone I know. I have other dermatologists through my insurance plan but I won't even bother trying them because he is awsome and he absolutely worth paying the $80 or so out of pocket to get the right information, explained clearly. He always gives me free samples of lotions and prescription medication and he even gives me coupons too. His office is small - it is just him and 2 receptionists. They are just so-so. I usually only wait 5-10 minutes to see him and I am in and out in 20-25 minutes. My husband likes him too. We would definitely recommend!!!

I've been going to Dr. Herman for about 12 years. I've always found him helpful, conversant, a good listener and honest about what does and doesn't need to be done.

Was very friendly and helpful at our first visit. On our second visit, he was teaching a student and showed her how to "pop" something on my husnabd that he didn't ask for, and then charged us for it. It wasn't a lot but it was the principle of it. When we questioned it he got all huffy. He knew what he was doing but we just weren't thrilled with him.

My insurance company requires a phone call for prior authorization for the medicine he prescribed for my 6 year old daughter. The office staff refused to make the call since they "don't make calls." After a week of arguing, when the receptionist said "whatever" to me, I now have to take my 6 year old daughter to another, more patient friendly doctor. They spent more time arguing with me than 20 phone calls to the insurance company would have taken. ALthough he is a competent diagnistician, his desire to see the treatment through leaves a lot o be desired.
