Dr. Allaman did my left & rt eye cataract surgeries & from the time I called their office until well after 2 surgeries, I experienced only a 5 Star ophthalmology practice. So appreciated when you live 2.5 hrs away.

From office staff to assistants + optometrist, I was introduced to everyone with whom I interacted & all appts were on time. All covered & non-covered charges were in writing & explained to me + pre-op over-the-counter medications needed were available to purchase at the office instead of my driving around to pharmacies looking for them.

At my initial appt, Dr Allaman explained all my options based on my test results & answered my questions. Once I decided to proceed, pre-op, surgeries & post-op were all scheduled at this time.

Even the 2 surgery centers’ staffs were as efficient & professional as his office staff. Dr Allaman explained the details once again, before heading to surgery, & I felt very comfortable.

Dr Allaman & his staff + the surgery center staffs were outstanding & my best description is it’s like being part of a very efficient, well-choreographed ‘medical ballet’! They laid out the plan, I followed it & everything fell into place according to the plan. I received the finest care, over & above my expectations & I can’t recommend Dr Allaman enough.

The results from my cataract surgery ( both eyes ) are so much better then I expected .Clarity , color saturation , and vivid hues are just the beginning of the amazing results that I am experiencing . Dr. Allaman did a a fantastic job of installing the new lenses and correcting my astigmatism I am pleased with the huge quality of life improvement and would highly recommend Dr. Allaman and his team to anyone considering this surgery .

Dr. Allaman changed my life.
I have had cataracts for a couple of years and dealt with blurry vision for a while now but was too scared to get the surgery done.
I finally mustered the courage to meet Dr.Allaman this June. And from the first moment, Dr. Allaman has been so kind, understanding, open, genuine, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He was very forthcoming in answering my questions and allaying my fears. I got the surgery done this September and had a pain free experience with no complications, thanks to Dr. Allaman and his team (especially Te’a).
Prior to surgery, when I looked into the distance, I could vaguely make out the shape of the hills. Now I can very clearly see the trees on the hill and the colors are distinct and crisp. I am blown by the difference in my vision.

My recent cataract surgery was successful, painless and easy. The four-month-long pre- and post-operative regimen was bothersome at times, but it, too, was easy and painless, and the result is much better vision. Dr. Allaman is excellent, and the staff is friendly, patient and competent. The surgical staff in particular made me comfortable and helped to allay my nervousness. I highly recommend Dr. Allaman and his staff.

Dr. Allaman is a superb ophthalmologist in all ways. I have had two cataract surgeries with him that have been greatly successful. He is kind, patient, and encouraging. He explains procedures well and has impeccable post-surgical care practices. The office runs efficiently and the staff are all wonderful. I am so pleased I found this doctor in Santa Cruz.

Eye surgery on both eyes for cataracts have made my world SOOO much brighter and all colors absolutely POP!! The cherry blossoms are pink pink pink..I LOVE it!! And Dr. Allaman and all his office and surgery staff are professional, warm, and caring. This was truly a satisfying experience on all levels.
