I’m so grateful I found Dr. Elkwood’s office. My son had a chronic problem for almost two years. I took him to several specialists and many were not helpful at all. I found Dr. Elkwood on YouTube not realizing he was in Shrewsbury NJ. I felt confident from the first appointment that he would figure out what was wrong . It was obvious that he takes his patients complaints seriously and is a real diagnostician. He was so down to earth, empathetic to my son’s pain and really took his time to ask him questions. Dr. Elkwood ordered imaging that other specialists did not think to do and even said no when I had asked. The results of an MRN done at Hospital for Special Surgery solved the piece to the puzzle. Dr. Elkwood said you need to take him to a rheumatologist. The results from the imaging was apparently a hallmark finding of an autoimmune joint condition he was diagnosed with. I’m convinced if I didn’t find Dr. Elkwood I would still be trying to find doctors to help him. This was all done within three visits to Dr. Elkwood’s office. He probably won’t remember us since he sees many people but as a mother I will never forget him. My son already received his first infusion from the rheumatologist. I am so grateful Dr. Elkwood helped him get on the right path for treatment and prevent disease progression.
