Never in my life have I ever felt so helpless other than the time I left his office after severely re-injuring my knee. Instead of giving me options or referring me to someone who actually knew what they were talking about, he insisted upon physical therapy, for a problem that he said would be reoccurring. His projected outlook was for me to do physical therapy and once it was re-injured another two to three times he would then remove my patella, forcing me to be stiff-legged for the rest of my life. I was only 19 at the time of the diagnosis. A real joke!!! I saw a specialist that same week in Effingham, Illinois who immediately by looking at the x-ray and reading my past medical history said we needed to do emergency surgery to correct my damage. Albeit, he said what he did would not guarantee a permanent fix but he would do everything in his power to make me walk correctly again.When I mentioned the other diagnosis, my new physician just said please don't go back there!!
