Had a horrid experience in this office. I don't want to go into too much detail, but this is the sum of it. Had three botched root canals and one botched tooth extraction -- all done by Dr. Roberts in this office. When things started complicating with the extraction (which was done rushedly because Dr. Roberts was simultaneously doing another procedure in another room with another patient!), I called the office to schedule a post-procedure visit. I was shocked to hear them say that the first available date they had was in two weeks! I ended up with complications of bone inflammation, another surgery, and a very, very protracted recovery.

Stressed, rushed, money-driven doctor, who ends up doing procedures which are beyond his domain of competence. (He recommended doing a gum surgery on one of my teeth which, luckily, I dodged -- only later my local dentist advised me there are periodontists for that, and endodontists for root canals, for that matter. These people are called SPECIALISTS for a reason.) Wish I had known a bit more about these things before shelling it out an enormous sum of money for one sad series of failures.

Excellent in every way. Brilliant technically, teaches at Stanford, as "non-unpleasant" painwise as dentistry can be, very affable upbeat unstuffy personality, very very friendly and happy and helpful support staff. Also was very ethical and altruistic in consulting with an acquaintance of mine who had limited financial means and who had had serious dental problems & who had had very bad previous treatment by predatory "credit dentistry franchise" ; I think he charged this person only a fraction of actual time spent. The occasional waits re app'ts I think are endemic to the field.
