Please do not go to this Dr. He should have his license revoked. He left my elderly father on the operating table for at least 2 hours when he couldn't complete the surgery. He left my father under anesthesia while he waited for another Dr to come and complete the surgery. My father suffered a stroke as a result of this. The surgery was also botched to where my father in his weakened state almost bled to death over the course of the next week. We had to have my father transferred to another hospital where he had to have reconstructive surgery. Dr. Rivas should not have attempted to perform the surgery in the first place. My father was left badly incontinent and ultimately lost his quality of life and will to live. Please find another Dr.

My entire experience with Dr. Rivas and his staff with the exception of his pre-certification employee was absolutely horrible. Right from the time I walked through the office door I was treated with rudeness, hostility and disrespect. One of the women who took my blood pressure began telling me her problems and it was clear to me she was not interested in why I was there to see the doctor but more interested in making it obvious to me that she did not want to be there and or do her job correctly. Dr. Rivas once was a very patient and understanding Doctor. However as he has become older (75) years old- he truly has lost his bedside manner. I believe Dr. Rivas has no recollection of the oath that he once took with the promise of being a professional and caring doctor.
Therefore, I would not recommend for anyone to see Dr. Manuel Rivas or his staff.

First visit and staff and Dr. made me feel very comfortable.
Was very compassionate and answered all my questions.
Recommended some tests to properly evaluate issue and follow up.
Very happy I choose Dr. Rivas among several others.

Not helpful at all. After performing exam aided by video, he stated that there was a blockage. I asked his opinion of results, he stated only patient could tell. I told him he was the doctor and he viewed many of these scans, and I was there for his professional opinion. He again stated only patient could signifigance of blockage. He also prescribed 2 tests that a different doctor said wer unnecesary.
