Dr. Carter has been mine and my husbands doctor for many years. We just love him. He is a wonderful doctor and always willing to help us. If he can't then he will find a doctor that can. He always treats you with kindness and understanding. We just love him. Yes you may have to wait longer to see him but it is worth the wait. He is really great at what he does. He also is the only doctor in the area that has a walk in clinic first thing in the morning. So if you are really sick you can be seen. We love him and feel we get the best care with him.

Excellent doctor, has helped me substantially with complicated general health maintenance issues. Unlike most doctors who throw pills at you, Dr. Carter Analyzes health issues in a case by case basis to correctly diagnose issues before they become problematic. Although you may wait a few extra minutes before your appointments, the wait is worth it to get the best care within a 60 mile radius. I absolutely would recommend him to anyone looking for the best Primary Care Physician Altus has to offer!

Dr. Carter is very kind, caring and considerate. He takes his time talking to you, has never rushed me. If it takes 30 minutes of my asking questions, he patiently listens and answers them. There isn't another Dr (Except is P.A. Barry Chapman) that I would ever go to in Altus. His staff is kind and amazing. I wish all Doctors were like Dr. Carter. He made me feel comfortable from my very first visit with him over 10 years ago. If he can't get me in (he's very busy!) I will wait until he has an opening before I would go to another Doctor. He's awesome!

There aren't words to descibe how great Dr Carter is. He takes the time to really listens to your problems and concerns. He treats you as a person not another numbered chart. If he is unsure how to treat you he always refers you to someone who can. He is a great family PCP physician. He not only treats my immediate family but also my family out of town that were put in the hospital during a visit. Like the other patient said he is not just a great Dr but also a friend of the family.

Great family doctor. Saved my wife's kidney. Was released from Commanche Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma with "mild kidney infection". On follow-up appointment with Dr Carter, she was found to have pylo-nephritis (a very severe kidney infection that can kill the kidneys). He treated her with heavy antibotics and medication and she soon recovered. No thanks to Commanche County Hosp and losing 20 pounds due to fluid loss. I would reccommend Dr. Carter to anyone.
