I echo all the negative sentiments by other reviewers here. This doctor may be knowledgeable. I would not know. What I do know is that her lack of professionalism and genuine care permeates all through her office. Neither she nor her staff have an ounce of either, personally or over the phone. I have since found a really great doctor; knowledgeable and caring. So please research well before you pick your doctor.

On my referral sheet I saw her name and was not sure this was the same doctor I saw a couple of years back. I read the reviews and now am positive. This doctor had no bedside manner whatsoever so be ready to be treated like cattle! I also waited forever and then she rushed in and out. On one of the many forms they have you complete it ask if you want yo list items you want to discuss or have concerns about, we'll don't bother, no one in the office reviews your paperwork anyway. I was so upset I was going to write her a letter but then figured she probably wouldn't read that either. I would not recommend her to anyone. I will never know if she is knowledgeable or not because she was so in a hurry she did not say anything. Got the results either in the mail or they sent to my primary. No thanks. I would rather see a male doctor than her again. She needs to go back to take a refresher course on bedside mannerism.

Periculo tuo ingredere! (Enter at your own risk) After patiently waiting 3 weeks to see the good doctor, I waited an additional 45 minutes before the front office informed me that I could not be seen without my spouse's SSN. She suggested I call the carrier to retrieve this information as I explained the spouse is out of the country on business. The ins. representative confirms my eligibility with myself and the front desk. The doctor still refused to see me. I asked what the options were for paying out of pocket and filing a claim. Essentially, I fork over $250 for the day for the visit. The front office was friendlier once I offered to pay cash and adamant upon payment up front prior to any service. I was not comfortable with the lack of intelligible information regarding the invoicing and the spiel about me being on my own in getting the needed documentation to the insurance carrier and that once I make the cash payment Dr. Chu’s office is off the hook.

If you want a very thorough doctor, she is highly recommended. If you are looking for ANY sort of bedside manner, kindness, excitement about being pregnant, encouragement that you can deliver naturally, or acceptance of any sort of "alternative birthplan" then look for another doctor. We are sticking with her because insurance said we are too far along to change doctors...she is highly recommended because of her very knowledgeable medical advice; however, if you care about being treated by someone with patience and concern for how you are doing/feeling emotionally, she could truly care less. She has very limited time at each appointment and the avg. wait is about 45 min. unless you book the earliest of appointments. She also charges an outrageous $15.00 for ANY/ALL forms for maternity-leave. Even if it was only for a signature and a few words. Abrupt and cold personality...but feel that the baby's health has always been well taken care of.

Love Dr. Chu! She really makes a point of answering all your questions and taking her time with you at the appointment. My ONLY gripe is that everyone loves her! There is usually a very long wait to see her, but once you are in she really takes care of you.

Yes, you wait a long time...first morning appointments are best, but I love Dr. Chu! I was referred to her by a friend and have nothing but nice things to say about her. She is knowledgable and a little abrupt at first, but she warms up quickly. She delivered my son and I'm sure will be delivering my next baby as well. The office is nice and clean and the staff has always been great!

She may be a great doctor, but time is precious and she does always doublebook and the wait is almost an hour long. Also kind of cold and impersonal. Would not recommend.

I have gone to Dr. Chu for years now and I can't tell you how much I love her. She is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I have fibroids on my uterus and had surgery under the care of Dr. Chu, everything went smoothly. She checked in on me everyday and knew exactly what she was doing. At times she can be a bit cold but she will tell you exactly how it is. I do not mind waiting to see a doctor if I know she is one of the best.

She double books, and your wait is about an hour for a five minute visit. The three times I have been here my wait has been almost an hour long. I should have learned my lesson the first time.
