My Mother went to this man for help with chronic bone pain in her hip, he did back surgery and a ton of injections. totally missed her bone cancer and did not even check for it. The staff treated her like a drug addict when she needed pain medicine. the last visit a week before she died she stood at the counter wobbling trying to stay up without falling and hurting so bad she was crying a little and the staff ignored her until my stepfather yelled at them to help. Horrible Doctor and facility

Dr. Michael did not consult with my elderly sister's primary care physician prior to injection of cortizone for her chronic back pain. She placed full trust in that he had consulted as she was on numerous meds. She had to be hospitalized after the 3rd injection, he released her too early, she was taken back to ER by family when we saw the shape she was in,( swollen face, unable to move legs, very lethargic, unable to open her eyes), she was readmitted and died. She did not have a blood sugar problem, until the "shots", her glocose level was over 400 after that last "shot", which was not addressed by Dr. Michael. After she died, he calliously stated "sometimes these things just happen"

Made my dad wait for hours in the emergency room when he did a hip replacement and it popped out. Just plain unprofessional. Could say a lot more but there is not enough room here for all that he has done wrong. So glad he is not in Birmingham anymore. Beware patients in Mississippi. Please find someone else!!!!

Temper and unprofessional attitude. Recommends too many cortisone & numbing "injections" instead of professional diagnosis and proper treatment. Heard him get mad at a patient in next room and used foul language at her as she left. Says the same thing over and over to all patients trying to justify more injections. Office staff very unprofessional with no compassion for patients. My condition needed surgery and precious time was wasted along with much pain endured.

Dr.Michael took care of my mother on two different occassions. Once for a broken arm at wich time he was very nice to her. The second time she had a broken knee cap.He did the initial surgery after letting her lay all day in the ER and then said he was tired and would do it the following morning. Weeks later when she had to be hospitalized again by her Internist because she had infection in the bone and in severe pain, he never (not once ) stopped in to see her and she was htere for 10 weeks. Another Orthopod had to be called in on the case along with a plastic surgeon. My mother left the hospital and died 8 weeks later.
